ከዚህ አንጻር ከታየና አሜሪካ ሳይሆን እስራኤል ከጠየቀችን ለእስራኤል ስንል ሰላም አስጠባቂ ጦር ወደ ጋዛ መላክ ትርፍ አለው።
ሰላም አስጠባቂ ጦር ወደ ጋዛ የምንልክ ከሆነ ኢትዮጵያ ከአሜሪካ ሁለት ቅድመ ነገሮችን መጠየቅ ይገባታል!

ኢትዮጵያ ከአሜሪካ የምታገኘው ጂኦፖለቲካዊ ጥቅም ምንድን ነው?

ከግብጽና ከቀጠናው ጂኦፖለቲካ አንጻር ኢትዮጵያ ሰላም አስጠባቂ ጦር ወደ ጋዛ ብትልክ በግብጽ ድምበር ላይ ሰራዊት እንዲኖራት ስለሚያደርግ ግብጽ ለምታደርገው ጣልቃ ገብነት ትልቅ መልስ ይሆናል!!!

ከዚህ በመለስ የትራምፕ ጊዜያዊና ወረተኛ ፍላጎትና ግፊት ተከትሎ ኢትዮጵያ ዘላቂ የሆነ እስትራተጂያዊ ቅርቃር ውስጥ መግባት በፍጹም የለባትም ።

The logic is simple. If the Arab Egypt sends troops to Somalia in the name of non existent "peace keeping mission", then Ethiopia needs to send five times of that on -- the Gaza peace mission, on the border between Israel and Egypt. Besides, Saudi Arabia is trying to get into Somaliland, Eritrea and Sudan.
By going to Gaza, Ethiopia will strengthen its relations with all the UN veto powers, specially with USA, France and Britain, and of course with Israel. Even though the current Ethiopian foreign policy wonks are not as good as, the Imperial Ethiopian elites; if the door to Gaza opens, Ethiopia needs to push hard tacitly to get in.
Ethiopia needs to show its unwavering loyalty to the US and EU, before it sends its demands with regard to Egypt and the region. Remember, the Trump administration is transactional.

I understand your analysis but ask this: When US general came to Addis, he gave a general statement and the same with Rubio's call. Abiy is deaf silent. Why?

Because the issue is more complicated than the eye can see. Ethiopia is still under AGOA sanctions, essentially not in a warmest relations with the USA. Ethiopia is a BRICS memeber, very close to Russia, China and now with India. Abiy just signed MOU with Iran to buy more drones and missiles. Ethiopia and South Africa are actively building a pan-African AU while South Africa is so anti-Trump. Abiy has strategic deals with so many former USSR countries and almost none with EU countries with the exception Italy and may be France.

So, while it is tempting and very strategic to join the Gaza peace force, Abiy is so cautious about it because he knows something that we don't know.

Yes, personally, I like to see Ethiopia military right by Egypt's border and rub shoulders with Al-Sisi. It is also true that such a move will boost Ethiopia's stature in the whole region.

We shall see.
