Here we go again! The party in power is full of people, many, if not all, of whom would like to get a slot in the power structure after winning the election for their party. The problem is only that there is not enough slots for each and every of those seeking one. Power slot is in short supply in comparison to the aspirants to occupy them.

Abiy Ahmed is a leader of the party, accountable to the party power structure, not to those who are outside of the party, independent of how qualified those outsiders might be to take the slots.

In party politics you come to power through the means of the party structure. Many of those in the party devoted much of their resources, sometimes sacrificing their own lives and precious resources to make it able to govern (they are not serving someone from outside the party for free). How many times should I need to repeat before you can grasp the idea here?

Col. Goshu and anybody else could be the best Ethiopia can offer. But then he should have made his way to the power structure by playing the game according to the rule, instead of watching the show from outside and now wishing to have a slice. There is no logic that could explain this anywhere in the world of a party politics. He could have joined the party in power or contested the party by joining another party or even founding his own. He opted to flee the country, Abiy Ahmed decided to stay back and fight his way to the slot. How is Abiy now to blame?

There is a saying which goes like "don't look at where you fell, look at where you slipped". Figure out what it measn in your case.

Abiy has also got the same life that you have, doesn't he?

If you wish to be given a slot in the power structure, then don't waste your time but rush in to join in the party and fight your way out. As simple as such.

Now, you know how weak and under staffed the foreign ministry to this date. You also notice the various foreign policy crises of Abiy's regime. Folks like Goshu could have made brilliant advisors and special envoys. I deeply feel with Goshu's kind of patriotism, he wouldn't have refused serving Ethiopia if he was asked.

You have observed how Kenyatta treated Abiy in Somalia the other day, It is really annoying! That is how much Kenya is disrespecting these days.
