Why has the virus hit African Americans so hard?

In my view simply because they sit around and demand permanently for a quota instead of competing and winning their share. That is precisely what is in the so called affirmative actions, as an example.

It is a high time for those somewhere else to draw a lesson from this tragedy and start to compete and win instead of sitting around and demanding a quota of "their share".

Quota is not sustainable while competing and winning fuels progress and self-reliance, in my view.
