I always hated ethnic politics and I still do in my inside.
The problem was not Zenawi bringing out deliberately hidden history of Ethiopia but he worked hard to establish Tigre dynasty over throwing Amhara solomonic dynasty that built Ethiopia in its shape for almost a century. Now OPDO is playing or copying Amhara solomonic dynasty card by using the name Ethiopia but trying to dominate others with a little twist copied from Tigre dynasty-that is giving ቤርቤረስቦች a little bit of right to work in their language and a bit of development.
The question is not why Tigre or Amhara or Oromo is ruling but when will the country be free from dynasty rule and introduce a modern politics? Ethnic rivalry is killing the country. I don’t think ethnic politics is going to be implemented fairly. The reason why I oppose የአምሃራ ፅንፈኞች is they are talking the same garbage, isolated, fragmented and they are still focused on ethnic dominance of Amhara in its purest form which terribly has failed in the past. All their past mistakes have been exposed by the ethnic politics cadres including Zenawi himself. That destroyed their conceptual framework of Ethiopia.
That is why many time people advised the so called amhara freedom group to find a new ideology that is participatory and redemptive than coveting their torrid past but they feel know it all and self intoxicated ancient animals, they failed to listen.
The million dollar Q is: Is Abiy a good force of slowly ushering modern politics in Ethiopia i.e removing the cycle of ethnic rivalry and destruction, moving to citizen based politics with preservation of some form of ethnic identity vs keeping the ethnic junk but going after development?
