The target audience for PM Abiy’s AMC interview is not (Amara) people but top OPDO leadership

It’s been some time since OPDO top leaders have lost confidence in PM Abiy. This was expected because PM Abiy, in few years, has totally destroyed the incredible PP support in Addis, Desse, Gonder, Bahirdar, Asmera, Moqadisho.

OPDO leaders wholeheartedly believe Lemma, not Abiy, genuinely serves the cause of the Oromos. They never trusted Abiy. However, they also perceived that Abiy is more likable than Lemma by non-Oromos. They saw in him that he can fool people to go against their self interest just by using flowery rhetoric.

For this reason, they felt the need to elevate Abiy. Since their perceived threat was coming more from outside Oromia, they prioritized the pacification of those regions.

Fast forward 2026, Abiy is the least likable in all of Ethiopia, and OPDO leaders know it. Their priority is political survival. Abiy knows this too. He knows OPDO leaders no longer have confidence in his ability to convince and confuse the rest of Ethiopia. He wants to show them he still can play the people.

His recent appearance on AMC, Amhara Media Corporation, nothing but an attempt to gain back the lost confidence of the OPDO leadership. The thing is PM Abiy’s legitimacy even within Amara PP let alone Amara people has irreparably been damaged.

By appearing on AMC, he’s trying to pull a last ditch effort to delay the OPDO leadership from taking a decisive action to curtail his power and recover the lost alliance that OPDO seemingly enjoyed in the immediate post TPLF years.

Eden,

You made OPDO goons sophisticated than what they are  . Abiy is the best they can have and they love him. They will never revolt on him now. If they do, they do it at the last minute as a face saving mechanism for the general Oromo population.

The entire OPDO leadership is now drunk. They are millionaires and billionaires. Abiy let them lavish themselves with anything they like. killing, uprooting, selling lands, taking over innocent people's wealth...you name it. He.knows their greed. He knows they don't have principle. And he feeds them to blind them. Which he did.

OPDO goons are dumb. All of them have fake PHd and fake masters. They are enjoying life with beautiful women the country can provide. They just left the politics for Abiy and he does everything. He now knows he is in a ditch. He is trying to save his arse by once more playing his cheap tricks (OroMara).

Biased TPLF view‼️

Why Abiy took the PM position than Lema is a different reason than you said and we know it!

Lema is not as OLF as you try to paint him. He is a born again christian perhaps married to an Amhara. He would be another good person to hold Ethiopia together, not a polarizing person. Oromo leaders appear more mature now to know the value of keeping the country united as far as they run the mill or they get their place in power. They are a lot better than Amhara extremists so called pure blood Amhara and TPLF a criminal gang that should have been disbanded.

The problem now is with Amhara and tigre extremists who always want to enslave the rest of the country like the old time which is unlikely to succeed in this era or this time. Your rules are hated due to past atrocity.

Abiy still holds a prominent place among Ethiopians including among Oromo elites. He has to play a central pacifying role than polarizing figure and continue to discredit TPLF and Fando among the northern public. As far as he plays his card well, he will continue to do fine. The Ethiopian people are tired of the old aristocratic and tribal communist dog eat dog politics of the North.

Abiy represents the oppressed Ethiopians. I would prefer him to play a central role as impartial figure.

I would advice him to be peopl’s leader for all ethnics and build a bridge among the exploited/oppressed in the north and everywhere else.

Your analysis is ment to mislead like TPLF snake!

I know the story about Shewa Oromo. However I don’t care which or what Oromo is in power as far as they know how to run the mill and they sign into Ethiopian unity.

As far as Oromo show they are no less Ethiopian than the northern enslavers, that is fine with me!

They have to continue to play a major role in the politics of the country or else the same mistake will repeat itself and the nation will go back to square number one.

Eden, I remember advising you to take time off politics. Just read fiction, novels, and biography, but stay away from tribal politics that you worship I have said not long ago.
You contradict yourself within a couple of sentences that you wrote.
You asserted Abiy had lost support from the OPDO leadership because he is unpopular in Addis, Bahirdar, Dessie and so on.
You write this fantasy as a fact, not as an opinion of yours.
You have believed, still do, that ብልፅግና is simply an OPDO. An Oromo dictatorship is a going phenomenon in your opinion.
But now you argue Abiy has lost the support of OPDO’s leadership because they do not like of his losing support from the residents of Addis, Bahirdar, Dessie, and even የሰሜኑ ወዳጃችን አስመራ ነዋሪዎች በጅማው ሰውየ እንዳከረፉ ነው የምትሰብኪው።

I said it before, and I will say it again Abiy has made some tribal politicians and cadres crazy.
I add something to that — he made some tribalist to lose their train of thought. Eden is a prime example.
Here is the truth. Abiy is more popular in all of those places you mentioned, perhaps except Asmara, than the politicians of ህወአት ፣ ፋኖ እና ሸኔ are combined.
Why he is more popular. He had embraced ኢትዪጺያዊነትን.
Despite what you have been fed all your life on the contrary, Ethiopians love their Ethiopian identity.
አቢይ has understood this golden fact way before any other tribal politician.
Well, another reminder is warranted before I close my suggestion : እኛ “ fake Ethiopianist” are winning the political game.
There is nothing you could do about it, my dear lady, except pulling out a bizarre fantasy from your a… just to feel good for the day,

PM eden, PM eden, PM eden. Hoq about calling just eden.
You just this and that assertion, without a aingle proof, example or annecdote.
Suppose Abiy Ahmed is where he is by his iwn wit and intrigue rather than selection by Oromo hoodwink the armadillo elites. Any reason why this is not.

Suppose the Oramara revolurion is highjacked by pro-Amara and Amarapbiliac Oromos called the New Gobenas? More likely this is the case because demand of the Qero demand was to give Oromo language a stztus equal to Amharic which Abiy Ahmed has not offered and more likely never make Oromiffa an official language of his government.
Plus, everything he does, he does so only after advised by his Amara advisors Dope Almariam(imported prof from LA) and Deacon Daniel Kibret. His deputy is Amara. He appointed an Amara as President of Ethiopia.
