Mareqo claims to be Hadiya politically because of its political muscle for protection from the raised status it has achieved due Prof.Beyene Petros but culturally and linguistically Mareqo is more related to Kembata. It could well be the advice and direction Mareqo received from the tplf and pp enablers.
But to no effect for tge following reasons:
1. Beyene Petros would not be dragged to the machinations of tplf that it strongly opposed due to which he was maltreated by it.
2. Gurage built 40km of road for free from its border to Hosana in the 1960s and '70.

Don't act ignorant. Know stuff. The world is complex.

Horus understood Dama more than anyone. Dama is a coward mesqan Wahabi. He is unhappy even on other branches of Gurage who are extreme Orthodox. He hates Kistane Sodo because they are predominantly Orthodox. Enor guy Odie is Pentecostal and feels the same but not goofy as Dama.

Anyways, hard to say these guys are Gurages. Gurage doesn't exist. They just dance the same way and consume Qocho. That is the only thing that makes them similar.
