what axumite pagan tradition seeped into ጣጤ አበረች orthodox church

አበሩ ወደ እውነተኛ ወንጌል ተመለሽ ጣጤነት አቁሚ የምንለው ለዚህ ነው👇👇👇👇

Several pre-Christian Axumite pagan traditions, particularly those related to South Arabian polytheism and local indigenous beliefs, were integrated into the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, often manifesting as cultural practices rather than formal doctrine.Key traditions that seeped into the Ethiopian Orthodox Church include:

Serpent Worship/Cult: Archaeological evidence, including stelae at Axum, suggests a widespread pre-Christian serpent cult. This tradition is believed to have been introduced from Persia.

Astral Worship (Sun and Moon): Before King Ezana’s conversion to Christianity in the 4th century, Axumite coins and religious sites featured symbols of the sun and crescent moon. These symbols were, at times, associated with deities like "the invincible Ares" or local spirits.

Worship of the Earth and Sky: Early inscriptions by King Ezana show he dedicated monuments to "Heaven" and "Earth" and the "god of Heaven and Earth".

Veneration of Sacred Sites and Trees: Indigenous beliefs in spirits, often associated with specific trees, rivers, or natural, high-altitude locations, continued alongside formal Christianity.

Animal Sacrifice and Ritual Feasts: Though not part of the core Christian liturgy, the sacrifice of animals for community feasts during religious holidays shares roots with earlier, pre-Christian, and possibly indigenous ceremonial traditions.

"Tabot" Processions: While the Tabot (a replica of the Ark of the Covenant) is central to Ethiopian Christianity, the elaborate, public, and high-energy street processions to water sources, especially during the Timkat festival, are believed to have absorbed local, pre-Christian, high-energy festival practices, often including music and dance.

The Power of Priests/Debtera: The perceived power of traditional priests to communicate with spirits and influence good or evil, which were common in pre-Axumite societies like Dāmot, saw echoes in the roles played by certain types of church musicians and scholars, known as the Debtera, who are sometimes perceived to have hidden, traditional knowledge.

While the Ethiopian Church adopted Christianity as a state religion under King Ezana in the 4th century, these older practices continued to exist and were adapted, allowing for a unique continuity between the ancient, polytheistic kingdom and the later Christian empire.

Listro Guragew,

You are Gudella monkey. You have no history or tradition. Naturally, those who don't have history, tradition and their own religion are jealous of others.

Meles Zenawi read your feelings and hence he said, what is Axum to Welaytas? What is Lalibela to Listro Gurages and What is Gondar for Southerner?....etc. we were naive in Ethiopianism cult and criticized him not knowing the toxic feelings you hide on our country, history and our traditions.

Regardless, Qocho Qortami listro is irrelevant. Our history is being talked at the world stage. Follow Mel Gibson's upcoming epic movie based on Ethiopia & Our Orthodoxy and cry more rivers 😭

Listro,

You have no authentic history or religion. Leave ours to us. They put us together in that damn country by mistake. Else, we have nothing in common so move on. Keep making that dirty Qocho using your dirty legs and consume. We have zero similarities with you and we acknowledge the fact that we shouldn't be in the same roof. Get lost. The world is ready to learn who we are and it is not about you. But us (Tigres & Amharas) ሰሜን እያልቅ የቆጮ አርህን ልታሳየን የምትፈልገውን።

Here is why Mel gibson buys your trash👇👇👇👇

@@@@@@@@
Mel Gibson is a devout traditionalist Catholic, specifically identifying with a faction that rejects many of the reforms of the Second Vatican Council (Vatican II) and prefers the Latin Mass. His faith is characterized by a "re-vert" back to pre-1960s Catholic teachings.
Gibson is focusing on non-canonical or expanded Ethiopian Bible texts because he believes they offer a more authentic, unedited, and "cosmic" account of Jesus, particularly concerning the 40 days between the Resurrection and Ascension.
Key Aspects of Mel Gibson's Religious Focus (2026):
* Traditionalist Catholicism: Gibson's faith is "old school," focusing on the literal interpretation of the Gospels. Some reports indicate he may follow "Sedeprivationism" (a form of Sedevacantism), which holds that the post-Vatican II popes do not hold formal authority.
* The Ethiopian Bible (81 Books): Gibson is highlighting the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church's Bible, which contains 81 books—more than the standard Western canon.
* The Goal of Authenticity: Gibson believes the Western Bible canon was heavily edited by Roman and European political institutions over centuries. He believes the Ethiopian tradition preserved text that remained untouched by these Western edits.
* Focus on the "Post-Resurrection" Story: Gibson's recent focus (linked to his upcoming project, The Resurrection of the Christ) involves texts that detail what Jesus taught in the 40 days after his resurrection, which are largely omitted in the Western New Testament.
* The "Cosmic" Jesus: Gibson is reportedly exploring how these texts depict Jesus not just as a gentle figure, but as a "cosmic" entity—a "divine king enacting redemption" whose story in these texts is more profound and, at times, terrifying.
According to reports in early 2026, Gibson views the Ethiopian texts as a crucial, forgotten, and "dangerous" perspective that reveals a different, deeper layer of early Christian history than the one widely accepted

The strange faithless characters that preach Trinity while saying an Almighty doesn’t exist are at it again.

These come two days after I started to wonder what Oda Nabee means and found the following online:

“Odaa Nabee is a highly sacred site and historic gathering place located in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. As the spiritual and political center of the Tulama Oromo, it symbolizes democracy, justice, and Oromo cultural identity, serving as a primary assembly ground under the traditional Gadaa system.”

The difference between this online comment, how much local and ancient it sounds, and the chatters of the faithless characters is that the former believes in the existence of an Almighty whereas the characters preach the archaic vote of the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD that established Trinity while denying the existence of an Almighty.

Quite interestingly, I have been wondering for a long while today who or what Nanee was, if Pharaoh Akhenaten AKA Moses who was the most famous person on the planet during his time, according to one source, didn’t leave more traces behind in Ethiopia except the Ten Commandments.

At least the origin and history of the word Nabee can be studied.

Why should you care about what others believe in.
Of you are in a mission to discredit other's faith,it doesn't take long for people to conclude you have serious disorder up your head.
What is special about your wooraGay faith? is it the subject of intellectual debate?
is there any written account of woooooraGay faith?

" The Ethiopian Orthodox Church is the largest of the Oriental Orthodox Churches, with somewhere between 36 to 51 million members. It stands out as one of the few African Christian churches that existed before European colonization. "

To the extent that this history is true, it sounds quite revealing about two prophetic scenarios I have previously theorized.

Scenario One:

1. The Almighty is universal and eternal.
2. Pharaoh Akhenaten started monotheism for the first time and met resistance because of the prevailing polytheistic practice at the time and went for the Exodus.
3. He would make a prophecy that it would be fulfilled in the future.
4. Observations in this era on a global scale indicate a fulfillment in real time.
5. The fulfillment would make humanity a community of believers and the Almighty eternal.

Scenario Two:
1. The Almighty is universal and eternal.
2. Pharaoh Akhenaten turned Moses after the Exodus is believed to have a prophecy.
3. A man by the name of Jesus rises to lead a resistance of the Israelites against the Romans and was crucified as a form of punishment of that time.
4. More than three hundred years later, somebody calls for a meeting to decide by voting whether the man who was crucified was mortal or immortal.
5. It establishes Trinity about him.
6. Ever since, believers are preached to that the man who was crucified would return.
7. It met resistance over and over, including by Islam, as well as by those who don’t believe that an Almighty exists.
8. It also became a tool of the faithless and of The Last Lucifer.

Comparing Scenario One to Scenario Two makes Scenario Two a mess.

Doesn’t it?
