If I were to add the number of Ethiopians who were massacred in the past 8 years, what do you think the number is? What about the number who perished in the various civil wars. In the Tigray war alone, over 300,000 Ethiopian soldiers disappeared! Who knows how many are dying daily in Oromia and Amhara. Yep, that is Ethiopia where life is cheaper than a banana!

2 weeks ago a Mesqan Gurage village chief and his 7yr daughter were killed in their home by a Command Postsoldiers stationed there. In Gurage Unlike anywhere else, there are 5 Command posts, larger than Amara or Orommo where there are wars..They shot and killed the dad first in the child's presence and then they killed her. His crime was that he refused to demand villagers money to give to the Command Post.

If these are the best of times for Ethiopia then it must have always been a sheeety place. Currently, the nation is going through at least three major civil wars, where the warring parties each have each hundreds of thousands of soldiers. For all practical purposes, the notion of Ethiopian citizenship has ceased to exist. You have Tigrayans, Oromos and Amharas vying for control of the looting rights of the nation. This forum is in fact a microcosm of the disintegrating Ethiopia.
Horsey, no one can be secure outside his little enclave. The lawlessness has reached such levels that Abiy, who is just the mayor in Addis, had to pay ransom to free a member of parliament.
