Re: Ethiopia-Eritrea tensions: Renewed war in the Horn of Africa?

There seems to be an international consensus to see Ethiopia externalize its domestic crisis, so as to downgrade the significance of the ongoing bloody civil wars that is pulling the nation in a hundred different directions, which is done by disseminating wild speculations about the country going into war with its neighbor, all in the frantic effort to find an outside force to blame for what Ethiopia is doing to itself that could potentially lead to its own disintegration.

Ambasador Dina Mufti once said, the external powers that are in control of Ethiopia don't allow the country to have a domestic or foreign policy of its own that is free from outside interference. Which means, if Ethiopia is given the orders to externalize its domestic crisis, it has no choice but to follow the orders at its own peril. Unfortunately, that is the sad reality of our time.
