The axumite empire was not even an ethiopian empire. It was an empire of its own just like Roman empire. Roman empire fragmented and many civilized nations rose over its relic. Axum empire was built previlaged by external networking with middle east, indian continent and near west and Nubia. Whatever civilization was there had a chance to be copied or come into axum.
