if you think tourists are going to come to Ethiopia to see the painted side-walks, then you must be more stupider that I think. Most of the tourist areas in Ethiopia like Gondar, Axum, Lalibella, and Semien Mountains are war zones now. There may be visitors to Addis for conferences but no-one is going to waste their money to see the flashy lights that seem to be fantastic to you.
As for Eritrea, annually over 150,000 foreigners come and over 250,000 Eritreans visit their homeland.
