You are partially right, Aby spent the whole 8 years beautifying Addis instead of neutralizing Tplf, closing the Tigray border from Eritrea and Sudan side, unite Tigray and Amara to protect all borders. Obviously pp is not and has not been taking this situation seriously, esp Egypt's involvement. Concerning economic development is not urgent for urgent situation like this. My hunch is that the real war could be against Amara maybe pp is part of Shabia/ Tplf plan that is why pp is not making wars in Ethiopia as priority. The urgency is building fountains in Addis

You still have not made distinction between Ethiopians who are Fano and Libertion Fronts. Mind you Fano was and is pro Ethiopia unlike Weyane. Pp made Fano vulnerable by getting them exposed to Shabia and Tplf so they got infiltrated , now opus branding entire Amara as enemy? Because it is targeting Fano. If there was difference, pp could have sold through negotiation with Fano.

If tplf is invading the disputed lands, then that means both fano and pp will be taking resources they were using against each other, to fight the tplf.
However, fano supporters say the main goal is overthrowing abiy, so perhaps elements of fano will let the tplf rampage through those disputed lands until perhaps... they get to the border with Sudan where sudan, Egypt and shabia can easily arm, fund and assist them, for their own reasons, to destabilize abiy and as a result weaken Ethiopia further. Neither abiy or at least a faction of fano, want to see tplf gain access to the border with sudan.
So even if abiy doesn't want to divert soldiers and armaments away from his fight with fano to fighting tplf, he really doesn't have a choice. Unless there were some backdoor agreements reached, who knows, but I doubt it.
