The country is so polarized now and people have become selfish but Komche believes he can insult his way back to power again. Hadiya issue has been there even before this ethnic mishmash began. Now flared or became more apparent as there is no organized central power; the one there prefers to make corridors than pacify the country. 1. I have not heard of Abebe Kersemo. That should have been his last political breath for obvious reasons, politically and constitutionally. He can't stand a chance in Gurage politics with such reckless and mindless rhetoric. It's not that there were not Oromos in the past where Addis stands, there were. But a lot has happened in the past 120 years. The Capital of Ethiopia, Addis of over 6million diverse residents developed by Amaras, Oromos, Gurages, Tigreys, Somalis, Kembata, Dorze, all Ethiopians. So cosmopolitan, these residents made Oromos miniscule.
Prior to the Oromo settlement in Addis and environ, the land used to belong to Gurages and Argobas. Prior to Gurages, there may have been other ethnics, most probably Omotics. Short answer is "No you can't reverse history". To me, Oromo should not qualify for special benefits. If we have to do this for Oromo, we should go back beyond Oromo and give special benefits for Gurages and Argobas who were evicted or annihilated by Oromo.
