I can't be 100% certain but I could be right.
Don't mind my generalizations. After comparing the strategic war fronts planning and intelligence gathering, it's my humble conclusion, from listening generals' memoires of the DERG against Shabia, EPRDF's against Shabia and PP's against Fano reported by media, the Ethiopian army sends its fighters to war fronts without intelligence, without knowing enemy positions.
Result? Dishonorable defeat by death and capture.

Correct with one exception. The current PP army can't really be considered "Ethiopian Army". It's perfect description is "Abiy Protector Army"
