The main principle of MEDMER is derived from the Gadaa policy of Guddifachà and Moggàsà. The following should be the ripple effects of Dr. Abiy’s move:
- First, to fully Oromize Caffé Aràrà (Finfinne palace).
- Second, to re-Oromize Finfinne city.
- Third, to reintegrate all parts of Oromia, including Wollo, Raya, Dire Dawa, Jijiga, and others.
- Fourth, to transform Ethiopia into Orompia (an Oromic-led federation).
- Fifth, to bring back Djibouti and Eritrea to their mother country, Ethiopia.
- Sixth, to foster an Orompia-led Horn of Africa confederation.
- Lastly, seventh, to promote the project of the United States of Africa, with its political capital in Finfinne.
If Dr. Abiy implements these vital objectives, he will be remembered in history as one of the greatest Oromo heroes.

To elaborate further on the Oromo elites:

O-1 are Amapianists, such as Mengistu Haile Mariam, who nostalgically wish to re-establish a Derg-style, Amharic-dominated geo-federation and seek to preserve Ethiopian unity by force. Such elites are comfortable accepting and assuming an Amharanized identity. Oromo elites in Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice (Ezema) belong in this category.

O-2 are Amarpianists, such as Meles Zenawi, who favor an Amharic-dominated ethnic federation and aim to restore TPLF-style domination, pursuing ethnic rule by any means. Oromos in Ethiopian People's Party (EPP) are seen as a continuation of such forces.

O-3 are Inclusive Democrats, such as Fayyis Oromia, who strongly reject the above two dictatorial positions but support the following visions of Oromo freedom fighters. I once thought Abiy Ahmed promoted this view, but I regret that I was mistaken. Anyone who wants to be an inclusive democrat can be “Fayyisized.”

O-4 are Oromianists, such as Galaasa Dilbo, who fight unconditionally for an independent Republic of Oromia.

O-5 are Ethno-referendists, such as Dawud Ibsa, who promote self-determination through a public referendum on Orompia (an Oromic-led ethnic federation) versus Oromian independence.

O-6 are Orompianists, such as Bulcha Demeksa, who advocate for an Oromic-led ethnic federalism as the best form of sovereignty after freedom.

O-7 are Ethio-referendists, such as Merera Gudina, who pursued the idea of holding a referendum on Orompia vs. Oropia (an Oromic-led geo-federation) after freedom from Biltsigina.

O-8 are Oropianist freedom fighters, such as Haile Fida, who sought to forge an Oromic-led geo-federation in which the Oromo would play their legitimate role as the majority, free from domination and marginalization.
