As a clinical psychiatrist, i would say that Eden was verbally abused and threatened as a child (and more probably physically abused too). Having the impluse to say it or write about it and retracting it often means Eden is on an autopilot mode to police herself with an echoed voice remnant of childhood abuse loudly saying to her "DELETE IT...DELETE IT YOU IDIOT"
