What you scribbled is very untrue. The mercenary role of some thugs in that part of Ethiopia (I mean Eritrea) has been problematic, the Ethiopia proper has never been. All foreign adversaries of Ethiopia, historically, bee using this slice of land as their launching pad to attack or take over: Egypt, Turkey, Italy, Britain, etc. I would not say there were not patriotic Ethiopians from Eritrea province who fought and martyred for the green-yellow-red flag of Ethiopia.
