What is the end game of these crazy generals and who are they serving? Not the people who are paying for their fat salaries and luxuries life. Speaking of the people, the people of Tigray are the most destitute, impoverished and consistently live with government handouts.
In the smaller scale in studying the vicious cycle of Ethiopia’s war one has to look Getachew Reda and Abiye Ahmed Ali. A few years ago Getachew was the spokesperson of a TPLF lead brutal war against Ethiopia at a cost of one million human lives. Today he is fighting Tigray in collusion with Ethiopia. A few years ago Abiye Ahmed Ali was leading the Ethiopian people fighting Tigray. Today it is not only Tigray but he is leading a civil war all over Ethiopia.
In the bigger scale, TPLF is a laboratory of failure, war and destruction. Their resume is wide and big. They fought Ethiopia to liberate Tigray and Eritrea. They are the first in the history of the world to write a letter to the UN approving the breakup of their own country and that left their country landlocked. And then fought a brutal war for a barren piece of land.
They brag about helping write a constitution (the only in the world) that divide the entire country along ethnic lines setting the country for endless conflicts. They brag about opening 50 universities in a country where 75% of the population is illiterate.
There is only one way out. Get rid off the TPLF & PP and build up from the bottom up. It is time for a transitional government that doesn’t include ethnic warlords.
