Rich Gurages these days are building exotic houses in country side and changing it to rural towns. Traditional houses are changed to stone and corrugated iron/tin houses. Even the ጀፎር has lost its natural beauty since gravel road and PP mango/avocado made it there. In ten to 20 years, most Grage will lose its natural identity in favor of urbanization.

This house is, youre right, a stone house but with grass roof. The usual sky high roof. Needs to be short roof to save labor and material. Also easier reach during maintenance.
