The deadly mix of all time!

Post by DefendTheTruth » 17 Oct 2025, 13:27

A very low Level of consciousness and state of the art speed of information as well as disinformation transmission mechanism are literally wreaking havoc in many parts of the world, specially in the so called third world countries of our time.

Information should have been by its very nature tailored to the need of its recipient, not all sorts of information is meant to be destined to everybody around equally. Information should have been filtered, tailored and prepared according to the need and processing capacity of its recipient.

Thanks to the advent of internet and other related tools information sharing (transmission) around the globe almost instantly of any sort of information, but even more so disinformation, happens, almost for free. This ostensibly an empowering tool has now become a deadly weapon, destabilizing many nations around the world.

At its advent internet and all other related technologies were told to empower humanity. We now know an empowerment turned to a deadly tool of destabilization of many third world nations of the time.

African countries, like in all similar cases, are bearing the brunt of the havoc wreaked by the uncontrolled flow of disinformation, spread over the infrastructure meant to empower them at the beginning.

Just think about how many African countries are suffering under the endless violence of destabilization, upto and including coup d'etats in the last few years, mostly also controlled from far away centers.

In the absence of well established state institutions to safeguard the well being of the society in a state and the widespread low-level of consciousness and educational status the use of state of the art means of (dis-)information dissemination combined with the same low level of consciousness remains the most deadly tool of our time, perhaps surpassing in terms of the damage caused that of colonialism and slavery. A softly killing tool!

What is a disinformation: false information deliberately and often covertly spread (as by the planting of rumors) in order to influence public opinion or obscure the truth, according to a dictionary entry.

What is the difference between Ethiopia (and other third world countries) on one hand and the US (and other first world countries) on the other where in both cases there is the same sort and level of flow of information or disinformation happening, but that in the case of the former the havoc is wreaked while the latter is either cushioned or firmly protected against that sort of damage?

The only major difference is that in the case of so called first world countries there is a well established and ripe state institutions safeguarding the well-being of their respective nations, while in the case of those dubbed as third world countries, including Ethiopia, there is a clear lack of comparable institutions and readiness to foster them, which is based largely on the low level of consciousness in turn. You can increase the level of consciousness by means of adequate education to the wider spectrum of the society, but in the case of Ethiopia there is even an open campaign and rebellion to hamper the effort of spreading education to the wider public, the case of Ethiopian Boko-Haram in the Amhara region comes to mind in this regard, where millions of children are kept out of school by a decree, which happens in the year of 2025, as we speak!

A sad story!

Very much interesting, I posted my idea with regard to the so called "free information access for all" under this thread and then came across the following very much interesting documentary in arte, a well known French-German bilingual documentary channel. It is about the so called cold-war, which ensued after the end of so called colonialism in Africa. If you think cold-war was less deadly than the colonialism itself, then just watch the scenes of this video, specially with regard to Angola and Ethiopia. In Africa it was never a cold war, it was a deadly war spilling the bloods of poor Africans in their tens or hundreds of thousands, if not in millions.

Calling it a cold-war as such is just another instance of adding an insult to sustained injury, like the saying goes.

Ethiopia was at the forefront of the receiving end of the bloodiest wars of modern times, which led to Ethiopia being designated as the poorest country in the world and left her as the biggest nation in the world without a sea access.

Ethiopia managed to defend her independence during the colonial rule of Africa (as the only not-colonized country of Africa) but then the same colonial powers came back after the end of colonialism and wreaked havoc in our country.

This video tells everything of what happend to Ethiopia during the so called cold-war, perhaps the reason why the editors chose to depict the leader of Ethiopia as its cover photo.

Slavery ended to give rise to colonialism and colonialism ended to give rise to cold-war and cold war also ended and gave rise to the so called advent of internet, which is wreaking havoc on a more scale in Ethiopia and other so called third world countries.

Some key dates in DR Congo's history:

1200s - Rise of Kongo Empire, centred in modern northern Angola and including extreme western Congo and territories round lakes Kisale and Upemba in central Katanga (now Shaba).

16th-17th Centuries - British, Dutch, Portuguese and French merchants engage in slave trade through Kongo intermediaries.

1870s - Belgian King Leopold II sets up a private venture to colonise Kongo.

1884-85 - European powers at the Conference of Berlin recognise Leopold's claim to the Congo basin. Leopold announces the establishment of the Congo Free State, headed by himself.

1908 - Belgian state annexes Congo amid protests over killings and atrocities carried out on a mass scale by Leopold's agents. Millions of Congolese are said to have been killed or worked to death during Leopold's control of the territory.

1959 - Belgium begins to lose control over events in the Congo following serious nationalist riots in Leopoldville (now Kinshasa).

1960 - Congo becomes independent with Patrice Lumumba as prime minister and Joseph Kasavubu as president.

1960 July - Congolese army mutinies; Moise Tshombe declares Katanga independent; Belgian troops sent in ostensibly to protect Belgian citizens and mining interests; UN Security Council votes to send in troops to help establish order, but the troops are not allowed to intervene in internal affairs.

1961 - Patrice Lumumba murdered, reportedly with US and Belgian complicity.

1963 - Moise Tshombe agrees to end Katanga's secession.

1965 - Mobutu Sese Seko seizes power.

1971 - Country is renamed Zaire.

1977 - French and Belgian paratroops, alongside Moroccan forces, help repulse attack on Katanga by Angolan-based rebels.

1996-97 - First Congo War. A civil war and international military conflict, which culminates in a rebel invasion replacing President Mobutu with the rebel leader Laurent Kabila. The country is renamed the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The likes of Mobutu Sese Seko exist still today in Ethiopia. Abiy Ahmed came to power in the year 2018 and declared to transform Ethiopia as his main political goal. Someone in the name of Iskinder Nega opted to fight against Abiy Ahmed, not only peacefully like he did in his whole of political career but by raising his arms for the first time in the whole of his life. Not only he raised his arms to try to topple the government of Abiy Ahmed through the means of violence but also went as far as coming out of the bushes he was hiding in and faced the camera to publicly send a message of "congratulation" to the current Secretary of State, Mr. Marco Rubio and telling him that he is ready to take the role of Mobutu Sese Seko against the Ethiopian Patrice Lumumba, who happened to be Abiy Ahmed. This was at the occasion of the nomination of the State Secretary for the job by President Trump.

This is not my propaganda, rather a real story that happened in the year 2024.

When they sponsored the overthrow and assassinations of two prominent African liberation leaders, Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana (Gold Coast back then) and Patrice Lumumba of DRC, during the period of the so called cold-war the reason they used to do so was that the victims tried to align the policies of their respective governments with the hated communist party in Moscow. Today they are trying to use the same tactics against the current transformative leader of Ethiopia, whom they accused of aligning his government's policies to that of the regime in Beijing. A senior government official of PM Abiy Ahmed's government and a long time Ethiopian diplomat Ambassador Dina Mufti officially disclosed the demand of western governments from the current government in Ethiopia was to openly distance itself from the Government of China. When the Ethiopian government refused to heed to the open demand, they started to sanction Ethiopia, including expelling from the AGOA arrangement and other forms of pressuring a third world country and its governments.
