Dire-dawa and Harar are becoming the big sour apples for OPDO and Somali parties. Diredawa is in OPDO ignited turmoil
The Orommuma jingoism seems to have faced a stiff resistance in its east ward expansions aimed at swallowing Diredawa and Harara. The Somali parties are putting up a big fight to make sure that the two eastern towns and their environs are part of the Somali Region and, eventuallybe part of the new Somali state that will be emerging when OODO declares its new country after the disintegration of Ethiopia, if their plan succeeds. Mustefe and Ahmed Shide are putting the mayor of Diredawa on notice for his hidden operation of organizing a sizable Oromo militia that perhaps will be deployed to fight against the Somalis. They mayor is operating on the model that is set by the PM. Talk smooth, show that you care and do the dirty job while others are paying greater attention to the trivial. The confuse and convince operation is always underway.

A pipe dream. Madness. The entire Hararghie will not survive without the Amharas. Hararghie is similar to Sidamo interms of how it was founded.
All the districts in Hararghie: Dire Dawa, Hararghie, webera, Chercher, Garamuleta etc are Amhara settlements. Right and left it was the Amharas that created them and they are arid. Small towns like Alemaya, Ejersa Goro, jijiga and Eror are all Amharas creation. The rest of the population including the Oromos have been nomadic with no family structure.
Without the Amharas the Somalis and the Oromos will canbalize each other.
There are tons of literature about the history of the area.

Dire Dawa is, has always been and will always be Somali town, It is located in Shiniile zone and it is surrounded by Somali villages, in
Somali land, Only a handful of peaceful muslim Gallas are living in Dire Dawa among Somalis but Somalis can easily chase them out of Dire Dawa in the blink of an eye.
Dire Dawa, the entire Bale and Hararghe regions, including Harar and the land round Harar belong to Somalis, Gallas will be kicked out.
Amhara this Amhara that, Amharas have nothing to do with that part of war-torn Ethiopia, Do yourself a favor and stop talking out of your derrière.

There is neither Amharas nor Amhara land between Somalis and Gallas, they share a 1600 kilometers border.

Abyss,
Don’t talk about what you don’t know. Or try to read about the topic before you comment.
And you are debating to the wrong guy. You will be better off to take it on with Horsie.
There are literatures that may help you to know when it was founded, when the railroad infrastructure & the French arrived. The Somalians of the area are nomadic and some settled in the city neighborhood called Afitesa in the southern parts of the city. They don’t know about organized life until they settled with the Amharas. A short drive from DD dominated by nomadic life. The same is true to the Western parts of the city where the Oromos settled. It is the Amharas that made not only DD but the entire region.
Baby, you have to swallow the truth and move on.

This photo was taken in the 1874s by British photographer, long before the construction of the railway from Djibouti to Addis Ababa.
You are pretty much talking out of your derrière, the construction of the railway from Djibouti to Addis Ababa which began in 1889 and eventually completed in 1917 was yesterday.
I know intellectually disabled people think nomadic is an insult, but it is not an insult, It is a wonderful lifestyle.
Somalis were and still are proud nomad people, traders/merchants, farmers, sea people/seafaring people, In the 14th and 15th centuries, their capital city, Mogadishu was the wealthiest and most powerful city on the East African coast, most cities in Somalia are in fact older than war-torn Ethiopia cities, Somalis were and still are all of these things, while Amharas were and still are proud sedentary people who never ventured far from their farms and traditional land in northern Ethiopia.
I have noticed that you are lately overusing “Amhara name” and you are intentionally trying to get Amharas dragged through the mud by mereja members, leave Amharas alone.

Eritrea was the first country to separate from war-torn Ethiopia but it won't be the last, Somali State is the next.

Africans are still paying for the mess European powers left behind in present-day war-torn Ethiopia and Africa as a whole, Europeans divided Africa and arbitrarily draw up borders with little to no regard for ethnic groups or linguistic divisions and left in a hurry.
