"I am committed to preserve territorial integrity & sovereignty of Eritrea" Abiy capitulates to Isaias in a letter to UN

Post by sarcasm » 08 Oct 2025, 17:50

Abiy Ahmed has been telling Ethiopians and the world that he's going to invade Eritrea and annex Assab. His government has been saying they will derecognize Eritrea and annex its territory.

Then . . . . . .

Massad Boulos, President Trumps Senior Adivsor travelled to Addis and told Abiy "Engage with Eritrea in manners that foster peace & regional stability!"

Then . . . . . .

Eritrean FM travelled to New York for the recent UN Convention and raised the threat of Abiy's invation with the UN. UNSG, Antonio Guterres, for his part, commended Eritrea's positive engagements in, and contributions to, regional peace and security, and reaffirmed the UN's strong commitment to the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty and unity, of all nations. "

Finally . . . . .

Abiy Ahmed Surrenders in a letter to the UN

"I take this opportunity to reassure you that despite Eritrea's provocations, Ethiopia is committed to realizing its aspirations pertaining to the sea through peaceful means. Ethiopia believes that the best way to attain a secure and durable access to the sea is through institutionalized economic integration mechanisms that could be beneficial both for Eritrea and Ethiopia. Our vision is for shared prosperity through modalities of integration that preserve the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both states while pursuing an ambitious economic integration agenda that would foster peace, stability, and prosperity for generations to come."

Back to TPLF's principle of institutionalized regional integration! Bye bye ከግድቡ ወደ ወደቡ

Abiy Ahmed is dependent on the White Man

Abiy is relying on IMF loans World Bank loans the white man will not allow Abiy Ahmed to Invade Eritrea    Literally the reason why Abiy Ahmed was given the Noble Peace Prize is for stopping the rivalry between Eritrea and Ethiopia (EPRDF)

The White Man allowed Abiy to get away with the war in Ethiopia

But once he invades another nation they can start putting embargo's sancations etc

All this bravado from Abiy is just to fill the Oromo Chauvanists ego who want to copy Derg and Haile Selassie

He conveyed that in his very first message (speech to the members of the parliament regarding sea access) and extended his heartfelt wishes of cooperation to all the concerned parties of the region, you can prove me wrong.

The other side then reacted by saying "only on my dead body that you can access the sea, unimpeded", wasn't it?

Abiy's message was clear from the onset (current round of discussion with regard to sea access) if the other side fails to yield to a peaceful means of resolving the issue, then our only option is the use of force. And that option stands up until now, and probably for the future, no matter how somebody may try to twist the truth on the ground!

But the letter does not say "if I didn't get what I want peacefully, I will use force". It is actually saying "I am committed to preserve Eritrea's sovereignty and territorial integrity, despite Eritrea's provocation. በአማርኛ ደግሞ፤ ከአሁን በኇላ 'ዓሰብ በውድም ይሁን በግድ' አልልም እያለ ነው።

your post's message is opposite to the letter's message.

General Tsadkan explains it eloquently, just lean back and listen if you really want to know. Was he your hero just before 2 to 3 years?

Just watched the interview. He didn't mention the letter. I don't think the letter was made public before the interview was recorded. he talked about the history and what he wanted to see. But the letter is a specific statement of government policy.

If there is one thing the sodomite dictator knows and is regarded as his expertise, it is disruption and becoming a master of destruction. Instead of treating the dictator like an infectious disease and ignoring him, the Galla gave him relevance by staging a childish stunt — claiming that Ethiopia was going to invade Eritrea and seize Assab, or even annul Eritrea’s independence. This was a big gift to the Eritrean regime.

As I write, Eritrea is again on a war footing and the sodomite dictator is mobilising young people for another adventure to confront the supposed Galla. threat. To make matters worse for the Galla, Our Tigrian cousins feel emboldened and seek revenge for what they experienced in 2018; they are reportedly supporting Fano/Amhara groups. This situation prompted the Galla letter to the UN.

We have a saying in Tigrinya: mes teretka selef me‘kab — roughly, “you only sit up straight after you have farted and embarrassed yourself.” The Galla are no different: they felt invincible when they showed off cheap drones bought From ali-baba and staged a military-like ceremony in Addis abeba.

The Galla time is more or less over...Tik tok, Tik tok.

Abiy's antics also helped to split the Eritrean Opposition that was growing in numbers and determination. He poured cold water on their vigour as they started to worry about throwing the baby out with the bathwater. They didn't want to risk losing their independence / territorial integrity for the sake of removing Isaias. Many said they would rather save Isaias in the process of saving Eritrea than seeing Abiy conquer Eritrea. Consequently, Eritrean opposition are now in disarray. Another gift to Isaias.
