Ethiopia, my country, has changed, but I am not sure how much I will be around and enjoy the change of my country itself.

This is really captivating, simply put.
I was a student at the Science Faculty of AAU (4 Kilo) and used to take the route from 4 Kilo to the main campus at 6 Kilo, sometimes for a walk, at other times for academic reasons or visiting friends there. I also passed 6 Kilo sometimes in the direction of Shiro Meda, specially my memory of making a demo in front of the American Embassy during those days opposing woyane and its master Shabia amd the jale OLF is still afresh. The area is simply well used to for me. Now seeing the place change that much brings much memories back and even some sort of emotions.
Ethiopia, my country, has changed, but I am not sure how much I will be around and enjoy the change of my country itself.

Self-serving projects for an unelected narcissist student of Machiavelii
Source of money for corridor undisclosed
Parliaments of Ethiopia did not approve the budget
Parliaments of Ethiopua denied auditing corridor projects
Construction contractors are directly paid by UAE
Sovereignty of Ethiopia is eroded, stripped of it by a dictator
Municipalities have not debated and approved corridor's necessity with minimum impact on businesses and residents
Lacks associated flood control mechanism such as flood drains called storm sewers and reservoirs
Citizen prioroties for adequate electricity and drinking water supply as well as waste water transportation sewers to treatment centers negelected.

Dama,
you must be from that generation, which I mentioned above. The cursed generation that has brought the curse to Ethiopia for generations. That era has now finally come to an end, thanks god. Hope is returning to Ethiopia, the country is becoming more and more attractive, not only for Ethiopians but also for all visitors. Ethiopia will be a magnet for anybody, very soon.
If UAE or somebody else is so generous and ready to finance our development, I have to be grateful to that country. Ethiopia shouldn't be worried about auditing the money spent on her own development, rather the people of UAE should demand the auditing of their money.
We should discuss the point afterwards, you agree?

You have such ignorant bias against past progressive Ethiopians. They only moved Ethiopia one or two steps forward, not backward.DefendTheTruth wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025, 16:42Dama,

UAE plunders precious minerals such as gold. Corridor is not free.
Parliament wanted to know the source of the Corridor expenses and document it, including how construction materials were procured and how construction companies were selected, obviously it should have been by competition advertised internationally and nationally, whether they pay taxes or evade taxes, whether they respect the Ethiopian labor laws for fair employment standards, etc.
They could also investigate the health and criminal backgrounds of foreign workers for transmissble diseases by physical contacts such as sex. Whether also pedophiles use work as a cover to enter Ethiopia and prey on young Ethiopians.
