Decades-long of state-sanctioned oppression, cycle of violence and neglect has prompted many Ethiopians to see disintegration as the only option to find peace.

Understandably, the people don't want to see their children to die in a UAE war that throws Ethiopian lives into a sea of fire. And as long as mercenary service continues to be the only source of revenue for Ethiopian regimes, the people are better off without a government and everything it represents.

The Balkans found lasting peace after the breakup of Yugoslavia.

UAE is holding grudges against both Djibouti and Eritrea, for the former favoring Chinese investment over UAE's port operation contract, and for the latter's refusal of UAE's control over the Assab port.

The UAE using Ethiopia to exact its revenge against those two coastal nations is threatening Ethiopia's existence, a country that is increasingly divided by tragic events and torn apart by bloody civil wars.

Those who believe UAE's oil is thicker than Ethiopian blood will be responsible for whatever happens to Ethiopia next. Ethiopia, in its current state of despair, does not need a war but a little nudge to push it over the cliff.
