--- Is it not shameful to see people in the Democratic Republic of Congo ( the most naturally endowed land with abundant rainfall and evergreen) to receive handouts from USAID - yet keep fighting until the end of the world. --- It is shameful see an Ethiopia farmer in the harvesting season of November, December, January etc. ( while he has heaps of all types of crops in his back-yard) going to USAID food aid distribution centers to bring back low grade wheat on his donkeys back. While Ethiopia not only feed herself but the rest of the continent, her potential is debilitated by USAID. If USAID cannot save and make Ethiopia rich, Ethiopia without USAID will be rich and well-fed, may be free of war and conflict. There is no free lunch on planet earth, so USAID is not free. It definitely has strings attached to it. Strings attaching Ethiopia to poverty and in fact the rest of Africans. Riches do not have to beg. The day USAID ends, the day embarrassment of Africa ends.
