Many of them were nationalists Tigrians who advocated total separation of Ethiopia while the others including one doctor was totally against separation and he took Eritrea and South Sudan as bad example which should be followed by others. The so called doctor was trying to make Eritrea as a culprit responsible for the alleged genocide which they believe took place in Tigray and Tigrians and Amhara are blood brothers from antiquity.
Personally, I could care less if Agames are blood brothers with the Galla, but it seems the famous Tigrian shermutuna never fade away with time even after they paid unimaginable price to become who they are becoming, an irrelevant actor who can't do nothing to change the course of history unless they are supported by external forces.
Notably, the gathering included General Tsadkan, the former owner and CEO of Raya Beer, a pseudo-crony capitalist who amassed wealth while many Tigrayans were left to rely on aid. These areas, he claimed, are an integral part of Tigray's sovereign territory, despite having been lost in the war initiated against the Ethiopian National Defense Force in 2018.
He also alleged that gold mined in Tigray is being smuggled into Eritrea via contraband—an outlandish claim unsupported by evidence. Paradoxically, Tsadkan later claimed that Tigray contributes $1 billion worth of gold to the federal government annually, an amount equivalent to what the federal government sends to Tigray.
