In the below video, Ermias was trying to summarize media reports on 05 September 2021 in the height of the War on Tigray. The sum total of the reported dead from both sides in that day was 12,000. He said "በአንድ ቀን 12 ሺ እናቶች ጥቁር ልብስ ማቅ ለብሰው አደሩ . . .". The war continued in similar intensity for another 3 months.

The 18 months long Fano vs Abiy soldiers war in Amhara continues to cost 10s of thousands soldiers and civilian lives. What is worse is that the government is trying to get local militias fight Fano. The local militias are mainly middle aged men while the Fanos are mainly the youth. አባቶች ከልጆቻቸው ጋር ደም ማቃባት . . . .

The over 5 year old war in Oromia continues to cost thousands and thousands of civilian and armed soldiers on either side.

These are what people call massive ደም ማቃባት although the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are never satisfied.
