WATER: THE MOST CRITICAL RAW MATERIAL OF THE 21ST CENTURY!! WHAT IS ETHIOPIA DOING ABOUT IT?

Post by Horus » 25 Dec 2024, 18:59

The age of coal, petroleum, natural gas, steel, minerals and information is behind us. We are already in the AGE OF WATER. Water is now the number 1 most critical raw material of the 21st world. We are not only considering the production of electric power form water. We are talking about water as basic life necessity and food as well as its critical need for agriculture and the production of food, be it as plant or animal source of food. Soon, a barrel of water would cost more that a barrel of oil. Water is the near future white gold of the world.

IN LIGHT THIS INEVITABLE EMERGENT REALITY, ETHIOPIA NEEDS TO ESTABLISH AN INDEPENDENT AND POWERFUL MINISTRY IN A FORM OF AN AUTHORITY OR A COMMISSION THAT IS ASSIGNED TO THE STRATEGICALLY LEADING AND MANAGING THE ETHIOPIAN WATER INDUSTRY. AN ETHIOPIAN MINISTRY OF WATER IS OVER DUE!

THIS IS THE AGE OF WATER! ETHIOPIA IS A WATER BASED CIVILIZATION! ETHIOPIA IS A WATER DRIVEN POLITICAL ECONOMY OF THE 21ST CENTURY!

ETHIOPIA NEEDS A MASSIVE AWAKENING OF HER NATIONAL WATER CONSCIOUSNESS! ETHIOPIAN WATER STRATEGY AND WATER INDUSTRY MUST NOW BE ONE OF THE TOP NATIONAL AGENDAS GOING FORWARD JUST LIKE ETHIOPIAN ACCESS TO THE SEA.

FYI, beautiful facilities or places designed for the few, such as tourists or the well-off segment of the society, are not what develop a country. It's rather working on the country's social indicators for the many, which measure health, education, housing, environmental factors, sanitation, water, political stability, corruption, equality and justice, etc. These are the ones that can improve and lift a country from its socio-economic setting.

Africa's main problems are corruption, bad leaders, and bad governance. I'm too nice and generous by calling types of HSM and Abiy bad leaders, as they're not leaders at all.

Merry Xmas to you, too.

Somaliman,

If I remember, I was in college when we studied the HDI - human development index. You get there via another timeless wisdom; that is, the sky is not made to be touched but to guide you in your journey to the HDI. The world is made of facts, not theories, philosophies or plans. You can repeat the abstract UN construct called HDI. The people, the real people, the factual people progress by means vision, effort, competence, example and hope. What you see happening to Addis Abeba is what every Ethiopian city, village and household aspire to reach.

Addis Abeba is a paradigm, she is an exemplar, a model, a vision to be copied and cloned by all others in Ethiopia. Rome was not built in a day. But poverty is no example for anything. Famine, begging, dirty, self hate, mediocrty, and the culture of destitution are not examples of anything.

Addis Abeba is an Example. She is not meant to be inhabited by the 130 million Ethiopians. But, she is meant to be a paradigm of what Ethiopia should look like!!! Addis Abeba is a vision, she is a prophesy of the emerging Ethiopia.

Follow the facts, they will lead you to the truth. Ethiopia is beyond bad mouthing, down talking!!! Don't waste your time. I am sure you are planning in secret to visit her soon!

I don't like Addis, as it's too crowded and has too many beggars, and equally too many both minor and violent crimes.

Addis has nowadays turned into a hotspot for crime, especially at night.

As long as 80% of both Addis and across Ethiopia is slum, these pictures would be meaningless.

You should better post them on a forum only visited by Eskimos who haven't heard Ethiopia yet. Just a thought!
