ፒታ ታኅሣሥ 18/2024 በድረ-ገፁ ባወጣው መግለጫ በዋሺንግተን ቢሮ ተቃውሞ ያሰማው "አየር መንገዱ [ማኩዌስ የተባሉ] ሊጠፉ የተቃረቡ የዝንጀሮ ዝርያዎችን ለቤተ-ሙከራ ጥቅም ላይ እንዲውሉ አጓጉዟል" በሚል መሆኑን አስታውቋል።ድርጅቱ እንደሚለው ሕገ-ወጥ የዝንጀሮ አዘዋዋሪዎች የኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድን ተጠቅመው የተሸጡ የዝንጀሮ ዝርያዎችን አዘዋውረዋል።
ሕገ-ወጥ ነው የተባለ ዓለም አቀፍ የእንስሳት አዘዋዋሪ ድርጅት የዝንጀሮ ዝርያዎችን በአፍሪካ ግዙፉ አየር መንገድ አዘዋውሯል ተብሎ የቀረበበት ክስ ላይ የኢትዮጵያ አየር መንገድ ስም መጠቀሱን መግለጫው አመላክቷል።
