Or are you a member of the Qidusan Mahber or exposed to their media?
Just curious.
Just for your curiosity. I follow Jesus but don’t believe in the current prosperity chao specially those who think Abiy is a protestant when he is running ethnic mill and droning people/civilians for his gain. He is not promoting justice and righteousness as a believer. God can bless you but we are here on earth to work and live on our work; not steal, rob or kill others without just cause. Also wishing evil for others is evil and from the devil. I generally have a favorable attitude to EoC because of its contribution of nation building, Yaredian ዜማ ሽብሽባ contribution, civilization(pioneered education, literacy, change from paganism/animism to a more ethical and conservative society) etc.. However EoC has differences with what I believe including canonical book number, angel worshiping and believing in saints most of which come from the additional canonical books they have. EoC has some 88 books in bible some not found in other christianity; catholic has 73; even the copts have 73 books in bible. Protestants have 66 books. One problem is human pride. Copts and EoC are one of the oldest churches. When christianity went in different directions in the world it got more of influenced by politicians/kings ( Rome, britain, Ethiopia-became government religion like islam), national pride, culture and traditions which really weakened the spiritual tone. Ethiopia has direct Jewish influence( just like islam), Solomonic dynasty as a result of which EoC developed a lot of Jewish cultural twist specially the Tabot/ታቦት, fasting and choosing what to eat (these are tenets of Old testament but may not necessarly be relevant now in new testament era. I like their healthy food and their fasting devotion). Any way EoC has made a lot of progress like preaching in Ethnic languages, preaching in ordinary languages such as amharic instead of Geez so that ordinary people could hear the gospel or good news. I believe churches should focus more on teaching the gospel/Jesus/salvation while maintaining trinity. On that we all christians should agree. The remaining differences should improve the more our spiritual understanding improves. Don’t be judgmental or fight on who is right wrong or better.
I like kidusan-mahber worship(we call them jokingly Orthopente). I listen both english, amharic, even ethnic some time other language such Arabic etc christian worship songs but I choose what I listen. Egyptian coptic song is in Arabic but pretty much like western worship songs.
Hope that helps and increases your knowledge in christianity.
I grew up Muslim, reading the Quran, memorizing all its Suras or chapters, preying 5 times a day and fasting until I was 23/24. Now I am an athiest. However, with lots of respect for all kinds of faiths and believers.

Enjoy this gospel music by a young Gurage priest or evangelist.

Happy Holidays!
Long live Gurage!

Thanks for the Guragigna song. I know this guy's song but will listen your invitation.
I used to be Muslim through family, Marxist-Leninist minded/evolutionary at high school kind of atheist. I used to laugh at Christians when they talk about a God that begets a son as per my Muslim background my thought was more on nontheistic god that does not have son.
At some point near final years of high school graduation, I met Jesus through a personal predicament and then experienced many things I thought were not possible in this world. Then my life got irreversibly changed. The reality we see in the universe is a reflection of the spiritual existence. The spiritual existence can be experienced or felt at personal level only through faith. Read how Apostle Paul (one of the apostles later) changed. He was a Jew who was persecuting Christians until Jesus met him at personal level in a road. Man does not fully understand how the universe, even a cell in our body operates at molecular level or how it behaves as living thing, but we dare to question the existence of a creator. That alone is enough to remain spiritual.
The universe the life as we know can not simply come by random probability. The chances very very unacceptably low for random phenomena to account for what we see and experience and ourselves. Science cannot fully explain anything and science changes as it is dependent on human mind and understanding (pretty restrained/limited).
When you have time, you can listen series of talks of this guy for religious view of genesis of life as well as universe.
