The Dam is beneficial for Egypt as well.

What is worrisome for Egypt is the development of Ethiopia with the help of the Dam.
A developed Ethiopia is good for Egypt.
Egypt’s concern is misplaced and it is rather based on jealousy.

Look if you compare the map of Ethiopia in 1974 & 2000, much of the Nile Gorge and the entire Gojam including areas surrounding lake Tana is transformed into a semi desert. In 1974 it was all green but not in 2000.
A developed Ethiopia can transform back to the 1974 level. It is doable. And that would be good for Egypt.
Al Gore, the former VP of US, has written and talked about it extensively. He even said if Ethiopia turned to desert some of the crops including coffee indigenous from Ethiopia will disappear and that is not good to the world.

This would have been an excellent opportunity for a shrewd diplomatic solution. But Ethiopia as this moment has none of that.

The geo-politics of the Horn is becoming clearer. At least, the struggle between Turkey and Egypt is getting clearer.

Ethiopia is weakened primarily by her own people. The coming of Aby we thought was to clear out domestic enemies before even facing foreign enemies. It turned out that Aby and pp( by the way the Western slogan now days is prosperity propaganda to be partnership with developing nations because the goal is resource exploitation ) l was shocked that Aby groups quickly called their party means right away l knew Aby and Co are under the hands of interest groups who are drumming “prosperity”. Is it not amazing Aby and co who inherited divided nations jumping the gun about prosperity, instead of unity and peace? If that was their interest claiming themselves Ethiopian? It turned out that Aby/pp turned out to be not just the same as Tplf, but also locked up regions so that Ethiopia could not boost her economy by her own people, radicalized Oromos and Amaras further! At the same time drumming regional wars with neighboring nations when they have to clean house first!

I have always maintained that the anti-Ethiopia status quo in the Horn of Africa must be disrupted and altered. As we speak, all of the global, regional and local forces acting on the Horn are full motion and we are observing a total melt down of status quo.

All global powers including China are acting. All regional powers such as Turky, Qatar, UAE are acting. All local powers/countries are acting. A ll internal conflicts within each country are acting. The truth is so long us injustice is committed on the nation of Ethiopia, there will be no peace in the Horn. No justice, no peace!

Everything will change including Ankara declaration.

The more than 3,000 history of Ethiopia is hard to be known by CIA. This should never be mentioned. 99.9% of the vote democratically elected Meles Zenawi( an Eritrean); 99.9% of Eritrea voted independence ("voted yes, in favor of slavery) - who could be the reference for these as well?
