True. What we must look at is the driving interest and motivation for each actor. Egypt was never interested in the defense or development of Somalia. What is driving Egypt is their desire to control our river - Abbay. As we speak, Egypt seems to be changing its strategy toward Ethiopia from hostility and threat to compromise and conversation. That means, Egypt will have less desire to get entangled with Somalia's issues.

For your information, when talking about the right of landlocked states to transit through the territory of neighboring coastal states and use their ports for commercial purposes upon bilateral agreements, access to the sea is the conventional and customary term used to describe this and not access to a port, as this can mean many things that may not even have anything to do with a port or harbour on a seacoast.

Access to the sea is a legal term, which refers to the right of non-coastal states to pass through a territorial sea to reach ports, defined by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, which grants landlocked countries, like your cursed land sh'ithole, a right of access to the sea.
