Ethnic federalism disintegrates the countries ability to move forward towards democracy and modern forms of governance practiced in Western Europe, Canada and America also Russia is a good example

I have been thinking whether what you called the “original provincial system,” assuming you mean the 14 provinces or the remaining ones or new administrative states studied by the new Ethiopian Universities as centers of excellence would work better for both the federal government and the people to govern themselves.

100%. Ethiopia needs it. It has become a shame for the continent of Africa. Ethnic politics is a form racist politics. Equality, fairness and merit are discredited and dispossed of for the supremacy of ethnicity.

Ethiopia may borrow the Philipines' province, region or state creation.principle. Very simple put:
1.Population size for a province to be determined by law. May 500, 000 at the minimum
2. Economic output to be determined by law.

Parties should fight for seats during elections like the countries where the ungrateful diaspora live in not parties using bloodshed and chaos to gain political power. A civil nation is not built by endless fighting.

Having tribalist political parties bankrupts the country of intelligence leads to the lowering of IQ levels, intelligence and problem solving skills.

Imagine the only qualification is to be a tribalist think your tribe is better than others... cry only for your tribe... be silent when the other tribe suffers..... support the genocide of neighbouring tribes.. promote your tribe only etc... pure stupidity and genocidal behaviors that are largely animalistic and require no educational qualifications.
