You are making a different argument. Yes, Somaliland right now does not have the money to develop its resources because the cruel world has denied it a status that is critical to join world market and finance - hence why the singular rational for quest for recognition.
In January almost a year ago, I said that irrespective of the outcome of the MOU, Ethiopia has forcefully put the Somaliland cause on the world scale and that alone was a historic contribution of my nation Ethiopia to the people of Somaliland.
Again, irrespective of how long their recognition takes the Ethio-Somaliland strategic relationship including economic is sealed for good. Soon, we will buying Somaliland fish in Merkato. Soon, Somaliland will a dynamic economic partner of Ethiopia in many many fields including energy.
As for the effect of Chat on their culture, that is for their society to solve. Ethiopia also needs to solve its expansion both as commercial crop and drug problem.
That aside, Somaliland's vision of Ethiopia's strategic importance to its development is a far sighted and brilliant vision. Somaliland has miles upon miles of sea cost and by leasing a few km of it to us and in return enter Ethiopian market with force that is what I call brilliance. For us access to sea a naval base is as critical as the Nile Dam.
So, it is a marriage made in heaven. No power can sabotage it.
How has Ethiopia "forcefully put the Somaliland cause on the world scale"?In January almost a year ago, I said that irrespective of the outcome of the MOU, Ethiopia has forcefully put the Somaliland cause on the world scale
Sorry. I do blogging on my down time and to relax from other tasks; that's way. Forcefully put simply means strongly put that is all. Evidence is her on ER. Somaliland existed as independent entity for longer than 30 years. Here we are talking about her on ER only as a consequence of the MOU. Because of the MOU the geopolitics of the Horn has changed up to including a potential danger of war. As we speak, I believe most of the politically informed world knows about Somaliland and the majority sentiment is toward her recognition, save for the legal fiction called sovereignty. Right now I am deeply interested in the outcome the election there. Even though all 3 candidates stated their support for the MOU, I prefer Muse Bihi to win since he is the who signed the MOU.
So, to you, "Ethiopia has forcefully put the Somaliland cause on the world scale", simply because you're hallucinating about a fake MoU and I and one or two other forum users are smashing your bullsh'it on this forum.Evidence is her on ER. Somaliland existed as independent entity for longer than 30 years. Here we are talking about her on ER only as a consequence of the MOU.
FYI, neither Ethiopia nor Somaliland has gained an iota of anything whatsoever from the fraudulent MoU. It has only served to backfire on both of them and nothing else.
Besides, the one clan show, which you said you don't give a sh'it about, has been taking place every few years for decades and has taken this mindless region nowhere.
