Clown Abiy, who initially said that he would secure a coastal land for Ethiopia owned by Ethiopia itself peacefully or by force, toned down his bullsh'it last week and said that a peaceful path was the only way to go. This was obviously due to his failure of materialising his unlawful fake MoU with the breakaway region of Somalia.
Last week, he cowardly said that future generations would secure such a coastal land for Ethiopia, which was sign of defeat.
The Turkish Foreign Minister mediating Somalia - Ethiopia talks pointed out yesterday in Djibouti "that Somalia requires unconditional recognition of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and that Ethiopia needs access to the sea for trade through peaceful means."
Guess what - no one has ever refused Ethiopia to have access to ports in East Africa for trade. All countries in this region, including Somalia, Eritrea, Kenya, and Djibouti have been willing to provide Ethiopia with access to their ports for trade. Djibouti is even happy to co-manage one of its ports with Ethiopia.
No port to own for Ethiopia, leave alone a coastal land on which to build a naval base, which is not even worthy of consideration.
