First and foremost I am Somalilander not Ethiopian. if you know any thing in history. We fought against Somalia the same way you fought against Ethiopia. And yes we complete defeated Somalia. The only difference between you and somaliland is you helped TPLF take over Ethiopia and they returned the favour to let you go.

Jikaar, I must say, you and your people are truly unfortunate. The Somali government will never grant you the freedom you seek, unlike the Tigrayans, who graciously parted ways with their Eritrean cousins and opted to share the pie separately. The Tigrayans had no issue with Eritrea gaining Independence they signed of on the UN Referendum on Independence. in Exchange the Eritreans helped their Tigrayans cousin consilidate power in Addis Ababa. You on the other hand do not have anything you can offer Somaliman. So why would he let you go. And play a country.



Moreover, it is important to clarify that there is no embassy in Addis Ababa representing Somaliland. For that to be the case, Ethiopia would first need to formally recognise Somaliland’s independence. Only sovereign states can engage in official bilateral relations. What Somaliland has in Addis Ababa is, at best, a liaison office, not an embassy, as some might believe.

What freedom ? Somaliland is practically more free than all our neighbours combined including your tiny oven Djibouti. A Somalian dog can bark behind the Amisom bunker. Or write dozens of begging letters to some useless organisations.

Just because I don't have a recognised stamp doesn't mean I can't play my cards well. We have 33 years experience of hustling and 20 years of rebelling. We barely know anything about the benefits of a recognised country. All we see is peaple fleeing from our neighbours because of constant conflicts. The last time our peaple experienced some hardships was 30 years ago.
