Satellite and social media footage has shown missile after missile striking the Nevatim airbase in the Negev desert, indicating that despite the highly touted effectiveness of Israel’s Iron Dome and Arrow air defences, Iran’s strikes were more effective than had been previously admitted.
Experts who analysed the footage noted at least 32 direct hits on the airbase, some landing close to hangars that house Israel’s F-35 jets, among the country’s most prized military assets.
This would have a deadly effect if Iran fired at a city such as Tel Aviv, or if directed at other high-value targets such as the Bazan Group’s oil refineries near Haifa – potentially creating an ecological disaster next to a big Israeli city.
“The core fact remains that Iran has proven it can hit Israel hard if it so chose,” writes Decker Eveleth, an analyst with the research and analysis group CNA, who analysed the satellite images
"Iran could choose a different target – say, a densely packed IDF ground forces base, or a target within a civilian area – and a missile strike there would produce a large number of casualties.”

The Israeli air defense installation were meant for slow moving rockets which they succeeded with pretty satisfactory result. Iran on the other hand launched a salvo of ballistic missiles which overwhelmed not only Israeli anti air craft/missiles but also American ones. Given the state of Israel is 1/5 of the territory of Eritrea, without the American assistance, the country is doomed. Now, Even Turkey is tempted to join the fray which is unpreceedented given turkey is a sunni muslim country while Iran is a Shia. There is prophecy in the Bible which tells that a power from the east is going to destroy Israel and the capital of Syria Damascus is going be inhabitable.Somaliman wrote: ↑06 Oct 2024, 07:26Satellite and social media footage has shown missile after missile striking the Nevatim airbase in the Negev desert, indicating that despite the highly touted effectiveness of Israel’s Iron Dome and Arrow air defences, Iran’s strikes were more effective than had been previously admitted.

True, Iranian missiles also overwhelmed American air defences, installed in all their military bases all over the Middle East.

When they massacred Palestinian children with such brutality, sooner or later the table will turn. That is how this universe is governed and balanced out justice.
What Iran did now is not really to hurt Israel but to teach her a lesson that Israel is not invincible. It paralyzed Israel psychologically.
The rest of the Arab world is watching and in a race to copy Iran.
It is a matter of time but all of them will have nuclear capability.
Means pursuing a peaceful settlement is the way out. a cowboy approach is catastrophic.

What did Iran achieve by doing all that shot in the dark
. The damage they caused is too little to nothing. The Arabs and their minions love to cause so much dust and noise more than they can.
This one made me laugh
Trying your arse off contrasting Israel with Italian-Eritrea. Eritrea has 2 million people ( more than 50% elderly) and Israel has more than 9 million healthy, strong and well nourished people; and in fact free people. Mention of Eritrea in this context is insanity, famished people living on the blessing of Qulqual and /or grasshopper and under the bondage of slavery by monster Shabia.
-- The bottom-line, Israel is the winner. The Arabs will continue to cause dust, bellow but it is improbable to score any victory, except they tighten the noose on themselves. If the Arabs were smart the should have chosen peacefully alongside of Israel. They should respect Israel so that they earn respect for themselves. All these dirty beards so far have been heard preaching the opposite and as a result Israel is preying on them and hunted down them so successfully. Who will be the next big Prize of Israel? Hope fully, Iran's Regime

Aberash, there should always be some group to hate to make your day enjoyable. Today, Arabs on your breakfast plate.
You advise when the enemy far too superior in weapons, just accept them and live side by side with them. You're saying that Ethiopia should have accepted Italian's superiority in weapons, that it was wrong for Ethiopia to fight colonization.
Your bigottery has no bounds.

Re: Tehran’s Attack Proves That Israeli Missile Defences Are Not, In Fact, Impregnable
Dama,
In fact it is not about who is superior in weapon. It is about who is super true in terms of justice and humanity. Justice always has the upper hand. Arabs does not want to live with Israel, they do not want to see them. Whereas Israel always to choose to live in peace and fraternity with them. The Arabs thinks they are superior in population headcounts whereas Israel holds superior moral ground for they want to live in peace. To be honest, the worst enemies of Palestine's are those other Arab states who are far from the fire. If you are honest to yourself, the only democracy country (an oasis of democracy) in the middle east is Israel. The Arabs could have benefited much by peacefully coexisting with Israeli. The people of Israel have the right to live - Arabs and Palestine should accept that and stop dying in vain.
Iran is #1 responsible for the suffering of Palestine and the death of innocent Israeli. Since the world is fully of hypocrites no one is taking a bold step to hold Iran accountable and turn the heat against them.

You make no sense. Ethiopia did not choose peace to occupation and colonization by Italy, it was all our fault. We were not peaceful to Italy. We were too primitive, Italy was electing its leaders with free media. That should have allowed Italy to colonize Ethiopia. That satifies your definition of justice as you know it.Abere wrote: ↑06 Oct 2024, 10:05Dama,

Re: Tehran’s Attack Proves That Israeli Missile Defences Are Not, In Fact, Impregnable
Israel has something of the count of 180 thermo nuclear warheads. Iran is suspected to have some as well. The question is, why is Iran tampering with Israel. All Western nuclear armed countries are behind Israel. It is not known if Russia and China are behind Tehran. It is assumed that they are. A thermonuclear war between Israel and Iran will end life on Earth very slowly. Iran and North Korea will certainly be involved if war breaks. Both countries will antagonize their nemesis respectively. North vs South Korea, and Israel vs. Iran looks a certainty a few decades if not years from now.
Re: Tehran’s Attack Proves That Israeli Missile Defences Are Not, In Fact, Impregnable
You are comparing apples with oranges. Italy had no historical or ancestral link to claim any part of Ethiopia. Italy had no common or shared history or land with Ethiopia. It was an alien for it wanted to rule Ethiopia. Ethiopia fought hard and seized victory.
Whereas, Israeli are fighting for their right to live in their ancestral land. They have the right to live in their land as Palestine's do. The problem is the Arab world badly want to deny Israelis the right to live in their land. This where you find the Arabs contradicting history and truth.
I think for the most part, it could as well be a clash of civilization (Israel) and backwardness ( Arabs). You know who wins in the end. If it were not backwardness, it would not need war to peacefully coexist. If you are in one of the Western world and lived lawfully in that country for few years, you are the right to ask citizenship of that country. Let alone a population that had a deep historical root and connection. The clash between civilization and backwardness is what is unfolding now.
Think rationally, do not veil yourself in some kind of fundamentalist cult.

It's the opposite of what you know it to be true or what you ignore to acknowledge. Iran is forced to defend itself as able as it can, with inferior weapons it has, with less calibre of manpower it has because it is threatened, its aggressed against, by nuck armed enemies, Super power US and its pet settler colonial project Israel.Dark Energy wrote: ↑06 Oct 2024, 10:54Israel has something of the count of 180 thermo nuclear warheads. On whim, US assassinated Iranian military general with all his assistants in Iraqi airport. Iran also suffers from US' illegal, unilateral, non-UN approved economic, diplomatic and military sanctions.
Israel bombs Iran routinely. Assassinates Iran's nuclear physicists routinely.
Iran has no options rather try tp defens itself with what it has.
You can join Israeli IDF for a dime. For a resident status. Take a chance rather suffer in that shiithole called Eritrea.

Israel cannot launch not even a single missile without the approval of the US. Israel cannot do anything without the backing of the US. By the same token, the US can bring anything that Israel is doing to an abrupt stop, if it wants to. For instance, on 6 June 1982, approximately 76,000 Israeli troops and more than 1,000 tanks crossed into Lebanon under the direction of the then Defense Minister Ariel Sharon, launching a three-pronged invasion of southern Lebanon in "Operation Peace for Galilee", and had occupied the southern part of Lebanon and encircled West Beirut while bombing Beirut and flattening it.A thermonuclear war between Israel and Iran will end life on Earth very slowly.
As a historical fact, the then president of the US, Ronald Reagan, picked up the phone and called the then prime minister of Israel, Menachem Begin, and asked him to stop the war immediately and get the fuc'k out of Lebanon. Guess what, Israel did not fire a single shot from that point onward and had started withdrawing from Lebanon.
Therefore, the culprit is the US, and Israel is operating with the full approval and impunity of the US. If the US wants the genocide in Gaza or Israel's invasion in Lebanon to end, it can achieve it with just a single phone call.
In addition, Israel would be the last one on earth to launch a nuclear bomb, as no one likes life more than the Jewish people.

Re: Tehran’s Attack Proves That Israeli Missile Defences Are Not, In Fact, Impregnable
Israel will retaliate, so is Iran. If Israel go for Iran’s refineries then Iran will do the same. Yes, as this point Israel may be stronger militarily but it can only wage air bombardment or missile attacks. Those operations cannot bring a significant change. Only a full invasion changes regime and defeat enemy.
Remember Iran has proxies throughout the region.
Only peace settlement is the way out for the Jewish state. They can’t conquer the Middle East for ever.
A tough situation for Israel but not for Iran. 40k Children in Gaza and already 1.5k died in Lebanon. A very stupid and short sighted move.

Benjamin Netanyahu has been pushing for war with Iran for so many years in order to accomplish his longstanding efforts, which are to get the US go to war with Iran.
Israel's provocations towards Iran are all about increasing the risk for the US to get sucked into another Middle East war, and this time around with Iran. And the US is perfectly aware of this, as Joe Biden himself has expressed privately fears that Netanyahu is trying to drag the United States deeply into a broader regional conflict. He even told Netanyahu in private that the United States would not support any Israeli counterattack against Iran.

Israel would beg their lord if they had the territory of Eritrea, Eritrea is 5 times larger than Israel in terms of territory and unlike the desert like territory of Israel, Eritrea has the Sahel mountain where your ancestors were either liquidated or cried like bitches to be spared their life hence, Israel has no terrain to defend itself from Iranian missiles. Sure, they can launch their missiles but Iranians are not Arabs, Iranians unlike Arabs works under the dark and they use Arab blood to pursue their political goal.
