The so-called "One Amhara" groups are the most backward-thinking faction, making the Weyanes appear politically advanced by light years. If you look back at the Weyanes when they decided to take over the center, although they were filled with evil plans, they attempted to present themselves as marching to Addis to bring freedom for all. They managed to deceive many. We know the Weyanes did not impose a "Tigray blood purity" test because some of their die-hard supporters were not Tigrians, even though they were culturally assimilated.

The "One Amhara" group is poisoning the Amhara people and their struggle, from which they will find it very difficult to recover. What should have been a just cause for the Amhara to reclaim its rightful place in Ethiopia's political, economic, and social spheres has been distorted by radicals. They are promoting the idea that a "blood purity test" will somehow solve the problems of the Amhara. Instead of persuading other Ethiopians that the Amhara cause is a just cause for all Ethiopians, they are suggesting that even one drop of blood from another nationality disqualifies a person from supporting or being part of the Amhara struggle.

There is no way the Amhara struggle will achieve anything substantial by standing against and propagating against Ethiopians of mixed heritage. This will only push many Ethiopians from different nationalities into Abiy's camp, as, hard as it is to believe, these radicals appear uglier than Abiy by the day. Abiy and his entourage are undermining Ethiopia—though not overtly—while the Amhara radicals are chasing away, ridiculing, and insulting anyone who identifies with their Ethiopian identity.

Eskinder is being attacked as a "snake" not for any other reason but for holding on to his Ethiopian identity. For sure, Eskinder is on the right path by standing for the survival of the Amhara people while respecting other Ethiopians. The Amharas want peace, to be treated equally wherever they choose to live, and to seek justice for the injustices and ethnic cleansing committed against them, but they still respect and love other Ethiopians. The malignant ethnic purity cancer that is spreading by a handful of radicals must be treated seriously before it becomes deadly for the Amhara and Ethiopia at large.

I think it is time to move on. The soldiers are fighting on the ground. We better focus on that. Wish Eskinder and his group well and move on, they are the one who jumped over the fence and tried to claim what is not theirs. Ignore them as they have no ground to stand on. It is getting absurd as I have been told activists like Meskerm Abera (a mother and who is in the PP prison) & Professor Tingirtu (who is in exile) are IN THE TO KILL LIST OF TEAM ESKINDER.

Brother, for once in the last 60 years the Amhara people have an organization they can call it their own that can defend the innocent mothers and children from genocide. Understandably you guys are worried about saving Ethiopia with the blood and sacrifice of this same people who is facing an existential threat.
Professor Asrat in his speech in the Gojjam highland addressing farmers once said: “they are now in charge of the land you and your ancestors sacrificed a lot to defend. Now you are forced to defend your children, religion and farm. Fellow Amhara stand your ground.”

There is nothing wrong in suggesting for the Amharas to save Ethiopia. But my friend they have first to save themselves. Please leave alone Fano and the Amhara people to do what they are doing.
In saving Ethiopia, it is time for the other 70 million non Amharas to take responsibility. Rest assured the Amharas will always be there for Ethiopia.
