The Afghan debacle should have been the best example for Ukraine to smarten up and stay neutral.
Ukraine’s fate will be decided by their close relative and neighbour Russia. Now and in the future.
The Americans will leave the area in about a decade or two. Their goal was to weaken Russia but never to help Ukraine. They don’t have the desire and stomach to stay longer in a conflict like this.
But Russia will always be there.
