Egypt has secured a deal with China to acquire advanced J-10C fighter jets, a major step in modernizing its military amid ongoing tensions with Ethiopia over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The agreement, signed on August 19, positions Egypt as the second country to operate these Chinese-built fighters, following Pakistan.
Egypt has already f16 not to mention French Rafael, what is the purpose of having a Chinese aircraft, in a time of war, it is going to be a logistical nightmare.
Chinese J-10C and F-16 jets may be well matched in terms of electronic warfare systems and situational awareness - although export variants of the F-16V will have a disadvantage due to downgraded avionics - the J-10C's advantages in weaponry and flight performance are overwhelming.
The decisive preferential aspect lies in the use of the jets. Western weapons, including aircrafts, tanks, missiles, and warships, all come with a pack of conditions and restrictions on their usage. They dictate you on what, where, and how you can use them. And if you ignore these conditions and restrictions, they'll simply disable the software that operate these weapons and your weapons will become junks of useless metal scrap. They could also suspend or delay software and parts upgrades required for these weapons.
You cannot even donate them to your country's friends that are in need without the authorisation of the sellers/manufacturers. Remember, many countries wanted to send German Leopard tanks to Ukraine, but Germany remained adamantly opposed to this for months! Also, the US and other Western allies initially restricted Ukraine's use of donated weapons, including F-16, to within Ukraine's borders, albeit this restriction has finally been lifted.
For instance, you're going to war with a country that's friends with the US, they won't allow you to use their F-16, or impose unfavourable conditions on their use.
On the other hand, Chinese and Russian weapons come with ZERO restrictions, and upgrades are faster and cheaper.
This is another form of the Western colonisation and dictation.
