The Semitic nonsense is basically the agames way of admitting that their tigray would not be viable as an independent state.

Quite the opposite. Number of seimitic languages speakers is increasing both in Eritrea and Eritrea. In Eritrea, its because Tigrinya is an imposed official language for gov, courts, hospitals, education, media. Nilotic and Cushitic children who did not have to learn Tigrinya prior Eritrea breakaway, now they have to.
In Ethiopia, a number of languages have shown a SHIFT toward Amharic, a preference to use Amharic instead of their mother togue. Amharic is a compulsary language in schools.

I cosign on that. That was how it was organically until the Abyssinian nest was disturbed by foreign forces and ideologies. I believe with a true self governing structures that takes into account with local cultures a union of marriage is possible. The U.K is an example
