Djibouti Is Saying That It's Ready To Offer Ethiopia “100%” Access To One Of Its Ports.

Post by Somaliman » 31 Aug 2024, 06:55

Djibouti’s foreign minister has told the BBC his country is ready to offer Ethiopia “100%” access to one of its ports.

“It will be in the port of Tadjoura - 100km [62 miles] from the Ethiopia border,” Mahmoud Ali Youssouf told BBC Focus on Africa TV.
We Somalis and Eritreans do not give a fuc'k about who offers what to the cursed land. We're unshakable and adamant about giving it any access to the sea and let our shores invaded by rats.

No we don't. You are worried about this recognition thing more than we seek. We don't give danm about you , Ethiopia, Djibouti or Eritrea. We know our interests.

You are just barking at me . But even your barking doesn't bother me . When dog barks too much , it's not ignored usually. So keep barking.

"While the idea isn't without merit, and it wouldnt be that bad one must consider the practical implications, particularly concerning
giving a port to Ethiopia what does this actually mean.Although they may have the capacity to manage such a facility, the financial intricacies and broader contextual considerations require careful examination. How, precisely, would these be addressed?"

Ditto.

What does 100% access to one of Djibouti's ports even mean! What about Djibouti's business with it's ports.
The whole thing is not clear.

In addition, what's the benefit for Djibouti! What is it getting in return!

Galla dictated Ethiopia wants to set up a navy on the Red Sea, but this doesn't even make sense. Ethiopia got two or three 40 something year old vessels that are rusted and can't afford to buy new ones, as they cost an arm and a leg and Ethiopia is in debt and couldn't even pay the $33 million of interests on its debt.

In addition, what's the point of having a couple of vessels on a sea already congested by navies of world super powers!

A navy needs to have a naval base on the ground and I doubt Djibouti would allow this for Ethiopia free of charge.

And guess what, the foreign minister says "100% access to one of its ports." and not to the sea. Neither has he mentioned any naval base.

This statement of his sheds a bit of light on the offer. He has said:
We are offering Ethiopia 100 percent management of a port in the new corridor that has already been built,
Sounds DP World a la Ethiopia in Tadjoura.

Somaliman,

You think you are the only one who knows about the politics of the region. The Chat addict, untrustworthy, snake heart Djibouti is not worried about its port use but rise of a new country called Somaliland republic next door. But this Chatam Djibouti is a day late and buck short. TOOOO late. Somaliland is a country fast building its military to protect itself from any enemy. It is over. Tajura port can compete for business with all the other many many ports that exist on Red sea and Indian ocean. Ethiopia has entered a strategic relationship with SLR. Ditto, Finished,

Now our focus is on humiliating the buffoon Egyptian called El-Sisi . He will be made to respect Ethiopia!!!

__These idiots Italy-Somalia, Djibouti and Eritrea province should have adopted a peaceful approach to Ethiopia. Their foolhardy strategy of falling in love with Egypt ( a never war-tested amateurish Arab) and allowing her to set her dirty feet means destruction and death on their on fields. For instance, suppose AU asks Ethiopia to withdraw her army from African Union force in Somalia and let Egypt in her place, Ethiopia is not foolish. She would rather flash her middle finger at AU and immediately topple Italy-Somalia president - take over, and make it impossible for Egypt, because AU is not concerned about the security of Ethiopia as but only concerned about Italy-Somalia. Ethiopia has a moral and legal reason to take pre-emptive measure before enemy takes advantage of this reckless stand of AU.

__ In any case, Djibouti can offer access any time, but it should not be contingent up on the recognition of Somaliland. Djibouti should very well know her existence is entirely dependent on the prosperity, peace and stability of Ethiopia. Neither Egypt nor failed poor Eritrea can help her feed and generate revenue. If Djibouti refrains, she will always remain beneficiary of Ethiopian prosperity - after all let's not forget Djibouti is the natural and integral part of Ethiopia. Simply, Europeans call of her name as a country on paper does not matter, the reality on ground is, Djibouti is 100% dependent and practically part of Ethiopia.

It's very sad that at your age you've living in such a wild and stupid fantasy.

You came too late to the show; this mindless enclave has been in such a limbo for over 3 decades now, and Galla dictated Ethiopia, which can't even feed its own people and is begging for food aid every fuc'king year, is not in a position to change anything. Ethiopians know us better than anyone else.

Eight months have elapsed and you're still parroting the very same horsesh'it time and again.

All your TV stations and YouTube channels are discussing this dead on arrival MoU, while it's not even in the discussion among Somalis.

Djibouti is not giving you anything. It simply wants you to build its port in Tadjoura to a modern standard and, of course, a pack of other conditions would also come along with. "There's no such thing as a free lunch."

Egypt is not even talking about Ethiopia, you're just panicking and sh'itting you pants.

Is this tsunami of cowards who surrender en masse on the first gunshot the one that will humiliate Egypt? Please talk like an adult and stop extrapolating your childish repetitive bullsh'it. You know perfectly well that your ragtag army, which is all about numbers, is by no means a match for Egypt's.

On a side note, I've never said that I know about politics, leave alone the one in the HoA, or think to be the only one to know about it. I know there's a dotard Galla baboon scumbag on this forum who's jealous of me and is obsessed with me, though I completely ignore him, to take the pis's out of him, mumbling repetitively in his childish monologues, "Who made you the only expert of the politics in the HoA?

The only thing I've ever claimed on this forum about me is that I'm from Somalia.

Naval base is out of the question how can a landlocked country have a navy that makes no sense . It’s like saying eunic castrated to have entecourse

It’s just for comerical use if the Ethiopians can get enough investment to make the port running and then they can manage how ever still they still have to pay for it maybe a better discount is on the way then they pay now that’s the best offer we can give them but a navy is out of the question

Zack,

You could have asked "Why Djibouti is now giving away 100% free access to Red Sea", in stead of worrying your head Ethiopia should only use it for this or that. Once legs spread, it is hard to set the term. Why is Djibouti is doing it now? May be she know fears it will be either taken back by Ethiopia or her life will be extinguished without Ethiopia? All of a sudden, now Djibouti is coming out se.xy. haha
