Ethiopia as Amapia is Dying, But as Oropia Growing!

No question that Ethiopia is changing her color slowly but surely from being Amapia (Amaranet dominated) to Oropia (Oromumma led). I think Oromo elites did a lazy compromise just to entertain feelings and needs of Amara elites in the last 6 years, after the seemingly constructive Oromara movement. The cvnning Amara elites used this magnanimous approach of the Oromo as an opportunity to organize themselves and start to fight against “Onegawinet, Galla-migration and Oromumma”. These three entities are taken as their main enemies. With such foolish formulation, the Fanno movement made not only Qeerro, but the whole Oromo, its enemy. How can a sound minded Amara intellectuals do such a mistake? Onegawinet (being OLF) is a symbol of Oromo freedom. “Galla Migration” is the evil rhetoric concoted by the past Amara feudals and surprisingly, their new generation repeated the same crime now against the Oromo. Making Oromumma (God given natural identity of the Oromo) as enemy is the dumbest formulation done by Amara intellectual in this 21st century. Now, Oromo elites must stand their ground, stop the lazy compromise and take steps to foster Oropia on the grave of the still existing Amapia. The key to this transformation of Amapia to Oropia is to boldly promote Afaan Oromo to its legitimate primary working language of federal institutes like the palace and parlament, by replacing Amarigna.

Nowadays, we observe that the Amarianist elites led by Abiy Ahmed persuading Oromo artists to sing about Ethiopiawinet, the green-yellow-red flag and about Andinet. Is this right timing for the Oromo to sing Ethiopiawinet? I don’t think so! Still Ethiopiawinet is equivalent to Amaranet, as long as Amarigna is the dominating primary language of the palace, government and parlament. This is the status quo maintained by the Amarianist regime of Abiy Ahmed, who could successfully silence the voice of Oromianists struggling for Afaan Oromo to be the primary language of Ethiopia. To make the cvnning Amara elites out of political game, the Oromo need to hijack and instrumentalize the three main agenda usually used by them: the identity (Ethiopiawinet), the flag (green-yellow-red) and the ideology (unitarity). But, as a precondition, firstly Oromo elites should consolidate ango/power in Finfinne palace, promote Afaan Oromo to primary language of the federation and cultivate ada/culture of Oromo in the whole country. After fulfilling these three preconditions, the Oromo can sing Ethiopiawinet, carry the green-yellow-red banner and even accept unitarity arrangement in Oromo terms. By taking away these three agenda, which are beloved by the Amara elites, it is possible to make them out of political game for eternity. To send them further to deep grave, so that they can never come back, the Oromo should help some people of Gojjam, Lalibella and Gondar to revive their Agaw back ground and push the rest in Shoa, Wallo, Gojjam and Gondar to reclaim their Oromo identity.
