I defended the Oromo masses though.

All ethnics are name called and will b name called untill this is outlawed if we were luck to be civilized enough in the future. I have lived among Oromos and served them. I even have a kin married to Oromo. The stupid are us who call ourselves educated and make our people fight for ethnic hegemony. I have visited many Amhara region and had good Tigray friends(almost got married among them). That is our story. Our people are the poorest in the world. Our civilization is a 100 year behind. Divided we fall, united we stand. Oromo and Tigre elites should learn how to live together with others. How can we see you amicably when in fact you stand for secession and destruction of the country you and we are called after? For me OLA/OPDO/OLF /PP all are ethnofascits and if you belong to one of them, and you have a sentiment Oromo is more oppressed than other poor ethiopians, you can go hell! All one has to do is look at the origins of the opdo, and its relationship with Oromos to know where many if not most Oromos stand in regards to them. But do not expect Oromos to do the dirty work of removing them so that you can try to install an even more anti oromo party. That'd be an insult to our intelligence to say the least. If the party you want to see in power does not recognize that having our own federal state with us ruling it, as part of a federal Ethiopia, is the bare minimum, and If they wish to replace one group of elites with another who hate us even more, then do not expect Oromo support. At.ALL.


Opdo was created by tplf and shabia, from captured oromo pows, to counter and replace the genuine Oromo nationalist party (OLF).
This was done in order to make it easier to subjugate and exploit the Oromos and their state, since the opdo was entirely dependent on military force to maintain power in Oromia, as opposed to having the genuine support of the masses.
Oromos have been resisting them since they were imposed on Oromos in the 1990s. When they were doing that, did other Ethiopians care enough to help, comment on it, etc,? No.
Now when it effects others, the Oromos get lumped in with them, blamed for the crimes of a small group of elites whose very origins are based upon subjugation Oromos, etc.
The OLF failed the Oromos too. The only thing I like about them is that their program calls for Oromos deciding their own fate freely and for Oromia to only be ruled by Oromos.
Once aagain, ALL states are "politically created", man made, whether it be Ethiopia as a while, the various kililoch within it, or any other countries.
The nation state is a man made concept whose borders are established by and maintained by military force and some degree of consent of the masses within the respective country.

Oromia was made in part because the previous systems failed and in part due to the will of the Oromo masses who desired a degree of self rule, not necessarily secession.
I never supported/will never support Oromos dominating anyone but I do support only Oromos ruling Oromia.
I also believe Oromos will inevitably have to play a huge role at the federal level due to the size of our state, population, etc.

I understand you and I can’t be unreasonable. The problem is, the idealistic view which we hold often fail simply because of power snatch and dictator rule in Africa and their outside enablers. We can agree that the full rights of all people should be respected including their language and culture as allowed by the law of the land. I don’t think that should be a question any more as the ethiopian people have been primed or already sensitized. Personally, no ethnic should impose an oppressive rule over another ethnic, including Oromo ethnic itself. You already know the atrocities committed and being committed by current regime, its cronies and misguided others in the name of all Oromo people. The best would have been to agree on unity and having our country for all of us. Then build democracy and the rule of the law. Then decide which form of adminstration we should follow. Personally I would favor the United state kind of federal states based on geography. Migrate away from ethnic strife. I believe through this system rules can be created to make elections democratic and obviously locals will have opportunity to admnstor themselves. Nobody would expect the old system of assigning a ruler who does not know the local people from the federal government like the feudal system.
Most importantly citizens should have a right to live anywhere in the federal states peacefully own property and elect their leaders or be elected as far as the society trusts and elects them. For example, if there is an Oromo who grew up in Gurage region or Amhara region if the public elects him there should be no reason not to hold public office. This is currently unimaginable. You can’t hold office in Oromia and other minor ethnic regions if you are not from that ethnic. We should ensure no one feels left behind. All cultures , languages of the country be respected and get the recognition they deserve. As you saw it, the ethiopian people don’t care if Oromo becomes prime
minister or field marshal etc… What the ethiopian people really failed to get is a unifying just leader that serves them. They use conquer devide and rule method to stay in power.
Unfortunately, all I have said is hypothetical and may not happen in this age. Whoever wants to repeat the failed past systems won’t succeed, the current regime included. Otherwise the cycle of violence will continue as usual.
