Amazing how we people from that region annihilate each other. I always hated politicians who had association with TPLF and other past now defunct parties starting as new agitators or party leaders as they usually flip-flop. The likes of Lidetu, Birhanu, Ermias…. Even I used to not to like Habtamu bs of his TPLF service in the past. Later because of his merit of standing against the Oromo thugs he was well accepted although he had his own detractors. No body questioned his identity as in the case in many situations when you seem to do good no body asks where you are from or one group owns you for his benefit. He was owned by both Amhara and probably by many other ethnics who did not like what the Oromo thugs are doing. He spoke against all atrocities against Amhara etc.. with evidence.
Although I don’t like what happened now(it was not time to fight who should be the Fano leader or not; and dead wrong for Eskinder and Habtamu team to saw all this animosity , if they did, because of their ambition for power and to go forward fast which may be equivalent to trying to usurp power) this character assassination should stop as a virtue or good political culture.

You errored here. And i can understand you based on that. There were other journalists we follow and Habtamu is not the only one. You see, most of us Amhara Nationalists, we were done with ESAT long before Abiy came to picture. Those of you who tuned to ESAT easily moved to Ethio-360 and may have thought Habtamu was the only one

Ethio-360 is founded by ex-ESAT journalists (another very popular media outlet before it). Habtamu Afrasa, Ermias Wakjira, Eyerusalem Tekletsadik, Reyot Alemu, Eyerusalem TekleTsadiq and Liyu. There could be more. So, it didn't take long for the media to be popular. They used their previous audiences, admirers and informers, plus Oromuma was leaking info and Zemedkun was also supplying them.

So It is not Habtamu Alone. The problem with Ethiopianists is that you have a tendency to lionize one man and give it a super human or somesort of being that is made not of blood and flesh. You people made the same mistake on Abiy ignoring the institution behind him (ONEG, OPDO and EPRDF). So it is not Habtamu persay that most people welcomed. It was Ethio-360 who went head on against OPDO.

You may not follow but there were other medias who did the same. But they smell more Amhara and you people were not listening to them. Medias such as Amhara Media (Gobeze Sisay), Roha (Meaza Mohmad), Ashara Media, Mager Media, ABC (Amhara broadcasting Corporation) were busy informing the public but their audiences were amharas only for the most part. so if you see Habtamu as some sort of the only man, it is your fault. you probably tuned to only Ethio-360

Don't fall for your emotions. follow the hard facts. As humans, our emotions go on the way of hard facts and we do regret it afterwards. Habtamu is a lieutenant of Eskinder. Eskinder is the bigger snake here. They work together means they share a lot in common. Dawit Woldergiorgis wrote extensively demonizing Amhara back in the days. Eskendir appointed him and most people gave it an excuse telling themselves that Dawit is needed for diplomatic works. In English, they say "you are the average of all your friends" which means, if you have 2 buddies and you have one extreme and another subtle, chances are you are in the middle. You are correct on ESAT. I never watched it. The founders of ESAT were BERHANU Nega and Andy Tsigie and the financial backers were for the most part Egypt and Eritrea.
Yes it was against the Weyannies but fundamentally it was serving the interests of Egypt and Eritrea. That was the fact.
The guys listed above dissented due to censorship and left the network to form 360. Yes, 360 was and still is against Abiye Ahmed Ali. Them too didn’t get along. The rumour was that the cause of friction has been the Amhara nationalists vs Ethiopianists views of each faction. That is where I was lost but slowly the facts are now coming together.

Ermias Legesse gave it away. Where did he get all those invented info to go out and insult Fano leaders and martyrs? Definitely from Eskinder Nega. Who gave all this divisive info and inside info to Habtamu Ayalew to go out and smear fighters in the Amhara region, definitely Eskinder Nega.
Of all the people, Ermias Wakijira, who is on the record being anti Amhara nationalists while this same guy served well the TPLF.

Those medias some of flourished later. There was Ethio251 something that was a fairly good channel but the thugs used to close their youtube like they were doing to Ethio360.
I even called Habtamu a general that time, not a lion, bs he was sending shock into the spine of the Oromuma. I don’t know who were his moles in government, Oromo or non-oromo but he used to get private info. I don’t listen to them now often as they probably are not in youtube predictably and now this controversy and of course you guys wanted us to leave you alone. We used to be staunch Fanno supporters but for me I am not sure what to support any more in that country. You guys are quite paranoid/suspicious. Don't forget people have their inner feelings or conviction. You are argument or thinking is wrong meaning the path you are following is wrong too. Whatever has happened to the people in following years of the current regime were distressing for any one with good heart and mind form any ethnic. Like the girl in Wellega who said, "Leave me today and I won't be Amhara, in Allah name"; and many other things that happened I don't want to remind you. God bless the many who wanted to adopt/support her; I really had similar feeling for her. By that time, you and your associates were on this forum still grappling to understand what in the hell was going on. Some people you guys call names were fighting to get the attention of your people to stand up.
Now you tell me I was supporting Fanno bs Gurage needed a rescue by Fano (pretty weak argument)? That is absurd. You know the Gurage people have a say for themselves, and they don't need my help as a single person or anybody's help. Since I am not their rep, I don't speak for all my ethnic, but just for myself. If you ask me the truth, the Gurage people are spread all over the country, especially in Addis and south and southeast-Oromia included (I don't think there are many in Amhara region proper), they have a right to choose who to stand with. However, they are people mostly known to stand by their country. If they support a group, it won't be based on the kickback they get or bs of other stuff. Mostly they will stand by whoever that is good to the country and the nation.

Now you remind me TPLF. You guys think you are saviors to all [they call this White mentality lol]. That is your failure before your arrival.
