Unity:

This is one of the interesting historical interviews of our leaders.

The command of the English language of the translator is commendable.

Do you happen to know in what year the interview took place, if it was before or after the coronation in 1931?

Do you also happen to know if the interviewer was a student of theology or a researcher in other fields of study?

Naga,

This is 30 year after the coronation and before he went to Jamaica for the first time in 1966.

In 1966 the Rasteferian movement was already widespread world wide. Bob Marley was top ranking performer on the billboard as well. His massage of love for humanity, justice, and African unity was spreading all over the world. The west saw it as a danger, and of course the CIA tried to assassinate him couple of times, particularly after he united the two opposing political parties in Jamaica while he was on the concert. He basically became the unelected leader of the people.

So his message about King Haile Selassie was being attacked by the west, which by then involved King Haile Selassie himself. They asked the king direct questions about Christianity and also if he was God. His response regarding God, was that he was not God. The Rasteferians interpret that as the expected and correct answer. Because Jesus himself never directly said he was God, but we all know he is, said the great Rastas!

So on this interview he was defending Jamaicans and he was teaching Jamaicans to come to Ethiopian Christianity! "Tewahido", basically.

Ethiopia, the spiritual leader of the world!!

This man stunk in old age of 83. He walked wearing diapers, unable to control his urine and dung. Rotten physically and spiritually.
Ethiopia respected him and gave him the chance to reform. Waited with patience for nearly 50 years. He took Ethiopians for granted. He claimed it's God that crowned him. He pitted the people who asked him for reform against his God which will punish Ethiopians for daring to ask him to reform.
Ethiopians from Gojjam to Borena, from Tigray to Gurage, all protested his rule and discredited him. Reviving the discredited on Ethiopians shoulders which already wheavy with Kid Abiy's oppressions is to disrespect Ethiopians.

OLF dedeb,

Stop lying, Ethiopians loved him for 99% of his time on the throne. Fact!

His last days are a bit dramatic but that is expected. Even Jesus's last days were horrifying. You are not making any point as usual

He is loved by not only Ethiopians but the world. Till today! Actually millions (over 100 million view his as God). You are fighting with them, not with us.

Keep running your mouth and your hate

Thank you for taking the time to explain it.

I have been wondering who his expatriate spiritual advisers were before his coronation in 1931.

The interviewer’s pointed questions made me wonder about it even more.
