I don't think Oromos will ever accept to be dictated by a bunch of minorities. I suspect he began disobeying US needs; US shunned him. He went around shopping to fill the gap the US left for weapons, diplomacy; made it worse when he joined BRICKS.
Now that Fano is so strong; a dream come true for US to sell itself as savior of Ethiopia from government collapse and possible disintegration.
