Ethiopia's recent declaration asserting its purported right to a sea access has sparked controversy, with the country claiming that it had solicited input from regional nations only to be met with unsatisfactory responses. Furthermore, Ethiopia has maintained that its stance is not aimed at dismembering Somalia, despite the apparent inconsistencies in its position. Specifically, Ethiopia's assertion of its desire to recognize Somaliland raises questions about the sincerity of Abiy Ahmed's intentions. Is he genuinely attempting to negotiate a mutually beneficial agreement or is he merely playing a duplicitous game? Can one simultaneously claim to uphold the Mogadishu Declaration while also seeking to recognize a breakaway region?
The Somaliland administration's naivety is evident in their perception of Abiy Ahmed as cu nning and astute, when in reality, he appears to be merely posturing and seeking validation from Somalia. It is clear that Abiy Ahmed lacks the courage to implement the MOU, preferring instead to continue negotiating and seeking valdiation from Somalia. Somalia's unwavering stance is commendable, and it is unlikely that Abiy Ahmed will proceed with the MOU anytime soon.

Re: Abiye latest response on the MOU deal with Somaliland and his allegations against the Somali President
Galla are for farming, not for politics - and their clown monkey is the proof.
Since Somalia is turning deaf ear to him, he's so frustrated and desperate and hasn't got a clue about how to get out of the very quagmire he put himself in.

In somaliland we are threatened from alsides any way and we took the the Risk on purpose. In a nutshell we don't give shiiit of the outcome. Our goals are very clear
1. Full recognition from Ethiopia
2. We should handle half of the Ethiopian economy movements
3. Get our fair share of the GERD and the Ethiopian airlines.
In exchange of a cool swimming pool for our beloved Ethiopian brothers. I don't think that's too much for the china of Africa. I mean come on , we didn't ask any material knowing the fact that they are broke today.
For those who are interested war. How about an islamic one. We don't only offer peace and prosperity. We also offer the most destructive recipe. The choice is yours guys. We have nothing to loose here.
