Eritrea and Ethiopia are two independent countries, just like Italy and France are. Either we have to get along or just stay away from each other business.

Eritrea is a temporarily separated province of Ethiopia, facing great economic and social difficulties. There is an alarming population depletion due to mass exodus, especially the youth escaping abject poverty due to US/EU sanctions. Most of Eritrean refugees are rehabilitated in Ethiopia.
Those who fled to Sudan, due to the civil war, as we speak, are making the long trek to Ethiopia. Sad to see this happens innocent youth who have had no part in the making the hellish hole Eritrea has become.

Perhaps, they would have trekked to Somalia as second choice but Somalia itself is a failed banana republic, obviously unsafe and poor. Plus most of the Eritreans who fled are orthodox Christian with deep hatred for Muslims and Islamic faith.

UK will deport Eritrean asylum seekers to Rwanda. Israel will deport Eritrean refugees engaged in violence. Eritrean refugees beat up German police with sticks will be deported.
Ethiopia doesn't have such problems. Eritrean refugees in Ethiopia at Adi-Harush camp are peaceful and well behaved. They just to improve their lives by working or going to colleges.
