Kenya mismanaged tax hikes
One of political principles of governance is to do research on possible response to laws and regulations. You can measure public reactions to policies and new laws and regulations from research results. If the research shows that the new law or policy may be rejected aor negatively received by the public, you one of two things. 1) Discard the new policy of the law. 2) Educate the public on its necessity long enough, and measure again the possible public reception of the new policy or law. The Kenyan reject of the tax increases is the result of poor public education or lack thereof why the gov needed to raise taxes.
